  • BU at Creighton also not picked for MVC-TV

Anyone also catch how BU at Creighton was not picked for MVC-TV for the final wildcard Saturday? I am guessing they are picking the ISU at SIU game. This kinda stinks.... BU is really getting the shaft in terms of TV games.

Somewhat reminds me of 2006 and the Bracketbuster shaft home game not on TV vs. Tenn. Tech. Hopefully this year turns out as well as that one did!

I'm planning on roadtripping to CU so this doesn't bother me as much, but it looks like we're getting screwed again by the "smart" tv people.

That is a bit of an interesting decision. I think the BU-CU game will have more impact on the standings when the game is played than the ISU-SIU game.

So how much did the recent loss play into this decision, hmmmmm?

So will this game be picked up by Insight/Comcast?

It's possible Comcast could pick it up. It would probably depend if it is a sellout, or close, and if it turns out to be a meaningful game.

I can see why they picked ISU/SIU instead of CU/BU. Right now when you have to decide you have the team in 2nd place playing the team tied for 4th. The other game is the team in 3rd playing a team tied for 4th. I'm sure it was a tough decision and just about a coin flip, but you have to go with the better team right now in ISU.

Why did this game need to be picked now; they should have waited at least 1 more week.

Not to mention SIU and ISU are much larger market teams
to have two Illinois State schools playing is a big deal for a lot of Alumni and such

granted its on MVC-tv, but they're just "bigger" teams playing one another. i dont think they put alot of thought into impact of the games and such

it's like why the Miami Heat still get a big "ta-da" whenever they play anyone...they're the worst team in the NBA and they still are played on ABC on sundays

The NBA matchups are set well before the season starts. Miami had 2 of the biggest stars in the league in Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O'Neal, a Hall of Fame coach in Pat Riley, and won the NBA Championship just 2 years ago. It's not really a similar comparison.

I just hate the Heat and use every chance I can to bash them
Dwayne Wade is a fool and one of the most overrated players in the NBA

Great the country gets to see a miserable SIU team again. Not only are they bad but they play at times unwatchable basketball.

The BU/CU atleast has the potential to be entertaining.
