  • Missouri Valley Conference Standings 2/9/08 with Tiebreakers

This assumes a Missouri State victory (up 18 with 8 to play) ...

Bradley has 4 more games against the teams ahead of them ... 3rd place is very possible with victories over Creighton/SIU.

I'll take the 4/5 seed - WIN... and then Knock out the Drake on Saturday!

    Then....

BU plays on CBS Sunday for a 12/13 seed against overrated 3/4 seed Indiana!

It'd be good for the Valley if Illinois St can "check out" from the rest of the field and put a 13-5 or so on the board.

I think they can finish 13-5. Remaining games are home vs Mo St and Creighton; road games at Indy St, E'ville and SIU. I think they can sweep with maybe just a loss at SIU.

I think CU and SIU finish 3/4 and we finish 5th (or tied for 4th with one of those 2). I am guessing UNI gets 6th at 9-9.

Honestly, if Bradley slips into the 4/5 game against either CU or SIU, I think we CAN win. Then have to face Drake. Winner will likely get ISU on Sunday.

So if Bradley upsets Drake and ISU in this scenario, believeing Drake will still get a bid, does ISU get an at-large with a 13-5 conference record and a 22-9 (23-9 incl the Non-D1 win) record?

It'll depend as much as what happens around the rest of the country as much as anything else.

I'd say "Bubble, trending towards being in" for now.

            Updated after today's game...

BU still solidly in 5th, losing the tiebreaker (for now) to SIU. This will all change if we can beat the Salukis later this month, but there are many games to be played before then ...
