I know it was a fun run and very exciting, but does POB leave if we lose to Creighton in St. Louis? We'll never find out, but I just don't think he's ready. He is still awkward in his footwork and he is not strong enough. I may sound selfish, but this is devastating news. I don't feel like many of the other posts on this topic reflects how bad this is. Not only do we lose our best player, but we are getting out-recruited by ISU. They have signed 4 or 5 kids in the last week and we have NOTHING! The longer we have nothing the harder it will be to get any quality players. I guess I have nothing else to say, except it was fun while it lasted, but its gonna be a long season next year.

Let's take a collective deep breath. He's not necessarily gone. Many apply for the draft and withdraw. Dee Brown, Pops Mensah Bonsu and Mike Hall are a few who declared last year and came back to lead their teams to successful seasons.
We'll have to just wait and see.

If POB and his family had some sort of ill will towards JL, he would have hired an agent. He wouldn't want the option of returning here.

I think he has played his last game at BU too, but I don't agree that it spells disaster. We'll have a lot of kids back who played in the Sweet Sixteen, and I trust JL to recruit talent. BU will be fine. This was not the last deep run under JL.

We survived the loss of Granger and a few lesser but good players like Joah Tucker. Not the caliber of POB but good players none the less.
POB leaving means BU (and POB) did well. Its part of the "price" of success.
IF POB leaves it will hurt...so does losing Boogie, MS, TB etc.
We have GOOD players returning. Some of the best guards in the league play right here in Peoria.
ISU is getting some good players but its all on paper. How would you like to be pinning your hopes on a couple freshman? And MOST Juco's usually take a year to adjust...BU has hit the jackpot latley but that is NOT the norm.
NOT bashing who they got but when was the last time a freshamn came in and tore up the league....will they be improved, I would say yes but they had NO where to go but up.
ISU can offer (and did) lots of PT for new players....but I'm not "worried" about ISU, SIU, CU, etc. only BU.
We were "hurt" with recruiting but in a GOOD way by our deep run into the NCAA's. "Hurt" me EVERY year We are in on some very good players. We still could land some this year but the impact will be felt more NEXT year....BOOK IT.
I believe in JL and the staff....I believe in BU more than ever. Last nite's banquet showed me, more than ever, just what a great coaching staff and program we have and our building.
We will be OK...BOOK IT.

I think Les did the right thing, and I think POB would do well to listen to him. If he's in the top 10, he really has almost no optino but to go to the NBA. If he's below the top 10, then I think he really would be served getting up into the top 10 after his Junior year. We'll just have to wait and see.
At the end of the day, either way it's good for Bradley. The more guys we can get playing in the NBA, the more guys will want to come to Bradley.

IMO opinion this is good for PO'B and also hard for the Braves next season............JL will not be able to recruit someone to dominate the Valley in the post next season or give the match-up problems PO'B creates for next year...........will the Braves bounce back.........YES.........will it be as soon as next year......maybe not! Without PO'B we become average IMO......we are very unproven at the 5 spot........my hope was for ZA to move back to the 4 which would be a more natural position for him! I assume DA will get one of the 3 rides now which is good......I just hope we can get someone who can help next year with at least one of the other 2!
Good Luck PO'B........remember we would always take you back but you sound like you've made up your mind to move-on!
I wonder who JL is recruiting in Houston Texas?

I hope Marcus Sikes really thinks over his options here.........he already went to a big school (Georgia) and it didn't work out.........he's done well for himself at the smaller Juco route and would do the same with the attenion to detail he would receive on the Hilltop! This won't happen at Cinn..........and if he's worried about playing time.....I think the door is wide open now!

On the bright side it looks like he could go to the Bulls. If he goes in the middle of the 1st round. I'd rather get picked a little lower if it meant going to a better team. I'd take a pay cut not to go to a team like Atlanta. And I'd think you be able to make up the money from endorsements. You make more in endorsements if you are a good player on a good team.

POB going #10 to Seattle http://www.nbadraft.net/
- I don't see Seattle taking him. They seem to draft poorly. I would bet that they would trade the pick.
POB going #16 to Chicago http://www.hoopshype.com/draft.htm
-makes sense, some talk of the Bulls liking him a lot. Not a great fit for him or the Bulls this year because they need someone that can play right away
NOT in the top 10 on ESPN.com
#9 to Minn http://probasketball.about.com/od/nb...ckdraft061.htm
-possible as they dont NEED a center right now.
I think that POB will fall fast once he gets individual workouts. There are a lot of tallented players coming out, and I just don't see him as a top 10 pick right now. I think he's going to need 2 more years to become a top 10 pick as next years draft should be much stronger (Noah and Oden at the top). I just hope if he ends up going that he gets on a team where he can develop and play at some point. It makes me sick when teams draft players and don't even give them a chance, and they end up in the NBDL or Europe.
