I think you are thinking of Mike Sanziere. Him and Higgins were involved in the whistle blowing during the first ISU/BU game this season. Higgins gave JL and Jan their T's but the next night he was in Evanston doing the MSU/NW game. Izzo went blasitic on a missed call at mid court directed his actions directly at Higgins and he acted like he was deaf.

He calls a T on Izzo it makes Sportscenter and he gets a national critique while in a Valley game he can take over, be more of the one who makes the game go at his flow and does not have to face any national exposure on the mothership.

I did sit next to him years ago at a Valley game in STL before the tourney became popular, seemed rather nice, had his kids and wife with him... but he didnt offer the advice to have another beer, though if he were buyn Id be flyn

Btw, this guy got knocked out last year by Wil Franklin. Got broken ribs I think when Franklin ran into him (plus maybe more injuries). It ended his season as an official. Some thought he may never return.
