I missed the game but did they throw stuff on the court or at IU fans in the stands? It's my understanding that throwing stuff on the court is an automatic T?

True, but still. There's so much hatred, they're lucky it wasn't a drink or something. I don't think there's a team Illini nation hates more than Indiana.

In the 2nd OT fans threw some stuff at Eric Gordon's parents in the IU section

Oh I see, well looks like the Gordon family and IU got the last laugh. Lets see what the media writes up about this one lol.

IU should give the game ball to Shaun Pruitt. What a joke. How anybody can play D-I ball and miss that many FTs is beyond me. Not that Randle fouling out yet again helped. That was completely on him. He had 2 chances (3 if you count the missed layup in the first OT) that should have won the game. I like SP, but I think he's gotten worse at the line, and a kid like that as a senior needs to step up and show some heart once in awhile, especially with a game like that on the line.

lefty, I am sure most Illini fans will say they see it that way.
But I have watched thousands of basketball games, as I am sure you have, and I have never seen a player pretend to extend his had then lower his shoulder and deliver a body shot like Frazier did to Gordon. It would be naive to think that it wasn't planned, and that Frazier wasn't "assigned" to do that to send a message. It was cheap, uncalled for, and an embarrassing display of thug mentality. Just like the fans' actions at the end. For that to be shown nationwide, gives Illinois a black eye.

I am an Illini fan, I have a degree from the University of Illinois, and I am proud of them when they play well and win. But this Illinois team can't shoot, can't make free throws, and makes way too many senseless mistakes. I am embarrassed for them tonight.

I'm not embarrassed for the team tonight - they played their asses off against a more talented team and just couldn't pull it out. How can you say they have a lack of heart? Maybe a lack of FT shooting ability, but lack of heart? Did you watch the game?
The beads getting thrown at Gordon Sr. was unacceptable - that's the only incident that I saw or heard about that I felt crossed the line. From some of the posts I've seen from the Orange Krush, Gordon Sr. was instigating arguments, giving the finger, and saying "F*ck you" to random Krush members, and had to be restrained a few times, so I'm just disappointed that somebody sunk to his level and threw beads. He can't expect to go into Assembly Hall and not hear his son booed after the way he strung Weber along.
Ultimately, I'm glad this whole Gordon saga is over as far as Illinois is concerned. Indiana isn't really even that good WITH Gordon, and he'll likely be gone after the season anyway. Time to move on.

EG is a great player but he didn't have that great of game. He makes 3 shots and goes to the line...alot. He got away with a few offensive fouls and a travel or two...I know happens every game...and then banks in the big three

Well I think since it was shown all throughout the game it had more impact on the whole situation. If they hadn't shown it several times I don't know if it would even be discussed. I've seen players shake and lean their shoulder in and Frazier hit him harder than normal but a body shot? I don't know. So it looks like you are referring to Weber when you say assigned..and I think that is pretty presumptuos really. Kids do alot on their own. I'm not embarrased by the team as a whole tonite.
I'm embarrased by Pruitt and Randle mainly and by the fans throwing stuff at the Gordon's but that's it really.
I mean they are winning against the 13 ranked team in the country and EG BANKS in the long three..that's the way the season has gone for the Illini...they have been in most every game and are just not good enough to pull them out...and they know it

Well he certainly stunk it up in the first half, and I don't think it's a stretch to say that the crowd got to him, but he had near 20 points after halftime, and I think it's clear after looking at last night's game, that free throws are pretty important, just ask Shaun Pruitt.

No doubt threes are important. Frazier did a pretty good job on Gordon..he was only 3-13 from the field and one was the bank shot three..he's a great player but last nite was not one of his better games

McCamey on the other hand was...fabulous..hopefully he will continue to play close to that way the rest of season and career
