Because of the cliche "if we play that way against [insert name of real good team here]."

We have glaring weaknesses that are not getting addressed. Yes we are winning recently, but against weak teams. We need to think of the post season and development of the players and the program. It is called caring, and the coaches are men, and I think can take some constructive criticism. I think the posts on the Phoenix Suns are quite relevant for the critques of our team thus far. The system and the way the line-ups are constructed have exploitable downsides that can easily be shored up. But they have not.

I figured we were in for a long second half when we pounded them so hard in the first half. As far as I'm concerned taking open shots with this team when we "should be running" clock is exactly the right thing to do. Too often we try to run clock and lose the mo, and it's not often we go that cold. They shot really bad in the first half, which I thought meant they'd probably improve in the second (which they did).

There was a nasty 10 minute stretch when Bradley just could not score, whether it was a good shot or a bad shot (and yes, I think an open shot for Bradley anywhere in the shot clock is a good shot)... but Bradley closed the game away in the last five minutes, and convincingly so. Also, I thought Ruffin's crazier shots that ghunt mentioned (I can think of two in particular) were actually attempts to get to the charity stripe and get MSU into worse foul trouble... They didn't remind me of the wild drives in an attempt to do everything from earlier this season.

I believe the difference between a very good team and a great team is that a great team puts teams away that are not good quickly and efficiently without a problem. There lies our team, we had a chance to put these guys away and did not for some reason being shots, coaching or whatever. THE GOOD NEWS, we still have time to develop that killer instinct. I would not mind seeing us run up the score just once on a good team. Come March we need to have our legs and the way to have them is the ability to play your subs towards the end of the game. 5 extra minutes a game does add up, especially during Arch madness.

We need to play 40 minutes of controlled agressive basketball! Great win 6 in a row but 7 sounds much better.

I got something last week that put me down hard for 1 day... but I was able to eat thru it (had soup and a shower... then collapsed on couch and couldn't keep eyes open), but DANG I was weak... chilled... ached.... slept most of the day. Had a sister that went thru the same thing.

IMO, now is the time for Barry Hinson to get out of Springfiled.
This Missouri State team plays hard at times, and has a couple guys with good talent (Lambert and Mitchell), and a couple good shooters (Fuehrmeyer and Spencer Laurie). But after this season, nearly all the talent will leave, and I don't see much there for next year. Spencer Laurie, Drew Richards, Dex Manswell, Devin Mitchell, and Dale Lambert are all seniors. And they haven't signed anyone who will be a significant contributor next season, either. IMO, this team will be battling Wichita and Evansville for 10th place next year, and I don't think they will win that battle.

Things have a way of swinging one way, then another, but I don't think anyone in the crowd was worried, Bradley dominated play throughout. As much as I like Barry, his coaching had nothing to do with it.
I was not obviously at the game but watched the entire game. I stick with we were outplayed, its a full 40 minute game, we out played MSU in the first half on the defensive end but our offense was not good, 7 made field goals. In the second half we go on an 8-0 run get the game to +29 and stop playing defense and get stuck on 53 forever. They scored 49 points from about the 17 minute mark on in the second half. I think over all we were out played.

Hinson made adjustments, our coach adjusted only to sit in a zone and to play the same 5 guards for the last 8 minutes of the game, essentially making no adjustments. JL was outcoached simply because he chose to not make adjustments in either personel or in running set plays to try and get off of the 53 mark or in the fact he sat in a zone and allowed MSU to shoot 3's or get the ball into the post against guards for either layups, put backs or 3 point plays.

The outcome though never was really in question, the way we allowed the game to become even a conversation is very concerning.

I had it my freshman year and it only lasted a day but this years was brutal.

Ok, question. When was the last time Bradley had back to back to back 20 win seasons? Can we schedule a bunch of non-conference semi-cupcakes next year and pull a Drake?

                      What?

Maybe I am a little slow.

Didn't BU have B2B 20+ seasons just in the past 2 seasons? And so we need to do what to be like The Drake?

Is there another term for this? Other than 3 20 win seasons?

I noticed in the first half when Salley was in, Ruffin had the inside out game going good for some easy open shots. However that didn't work well with Austin and Singh in the game, that's when our game went downhill in the 2nd half. It was mainly Ruffin or Wilson driving to the hoop or passing the ball around the perimeter for a 3. Maybe MSU changed something up on the D, I dunno but we still scored 80+ points, can't complain with that offensive output. Now for the rest of the way, I think I can stomach a loss at ISU & Drake but need that Creighton & IN State road games along with all 3 home wins rest of way. It would be nice if it didn't come down to that but it's looking like it in order to finish at least for a tie in 2nd place.
