  • Snow Day!

Bradley has made the wise decision to cancel classes today. What are the chances that we'd have two snow days in our college careers?

Pretty small, since I don't know of having more than one (maybe zero) when I was there a couple years ago...

Wow, that is something. The only time I ever had classes canceled was one January interim when we got a foot of snow the day before classes were supposed to start. Enjoy the day off!

Yea, BUBraves06, you are a lucky kid. Good thing you stayed that extra year

Anyone know if this weather will affect our boys' travel?

So what's the count up to there? FoxNews said 12.9" in Springfield.....

I am worried about that. ISU couldn't get to Cedar Falls in time for a mid-afternoon shootaround, and consequently lost at UNI. Hopefully we don't suffer a similar fate in getting to UE.

I had some individual classes cancelled, but never an actual snow day.

I'm glad we have a snow day, but it kind of makes staying up so late doing homework seem like a bust now. O well I guess with the day off I should probably go write my Sociology paper.

I knew it was going to be bad so I did extra work yesterday in order to stay home today; the roads in Peoria are not great as I just went out and they are deep on the side streets and at the intersections; hopefully the team will leave early or are already down in Evansville as it will take a long time if they are driving today.

                    Only 2 questions:

                    1. Does anyone have a sled I can borrow? It's hard to carry all this alcohol home from the store.

                    2. Where's the party at?

After driving around this morning, it looks like Peoria has 4 to 5 inches, with a little more in some outlying area.

Does anyone know what the weather and snowfall is like in Evansville?

I'm pretty surprised at the snow day. My drive to work this morning wasn't bad at all, and the snow seemed to have stopped. Ah well, enjoy it!

huh...when I was a BU, classes regularly got canceled, especially any before 10am on Friday

Last year's snow day was the first in seven years and second in 40. I never imagined I'd see another one so soon.

I can't speak for Evansville (which is about 100 miles east of me), but I'm in Carbondale and we got maybe 2 or 3 inches of snow...or an avalanche for people down here. Everyone is amazed that SIU didn't cancel class, this is a light sprinkle of snow back up north!
