I am pretty vocal about slamming the PJS, but the report card is what it is which is a critique of how well or poorly parts of the team played. It is ment to be an opinion and I have never seen any real sarcastic comments mentioned amongst the grading.
    Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Hmmm...I missed the part that said "Backcourt Starters" and "Frontcourt Starters"....
and in fact just a simple look at the past couple Redbird Report Cards proves this is NOT the case.

In the grades for Sunday's game against Indiana State, how come they discuss and grade Sampay's contributions with the frontcourt, when
HE WAS NOT A STARTER BUT A BENCH PLAYER according to your definition?

Same with the ISU game a week ago in Peoria, the "Frontcourt" grades Sampay again although he was NOT a starter.
They also mention him when they get to the Bench, proving he can be a Bench AND a Frontcourt at the same time.

Still........I still think the Panty guy gave generous grades.

That is why I said MOSTLY GIVEN.

Sampay against Bradley for example 12 minutes, which was more than the starter (Slack, who went out with an injury).

Same goes with Evansville. Sampay played 24 minutes which was more than the starter played (Dyer).

It's really not that scientific. The Bench is what killed ISU last night. Thus the low grade. You think the guards should be graded lower. That's your right to think that. Boo and Dom combined for 25 points. Well above their averages.

Much like Reynolds and Benson, these are just 1 person's grades, right or wrong.

It just shows you that not just our school is harder but so is our local paper! LOL I prefer to have higher expectations then the Redbirds.
