He's only a freshman.....still plenty of time for development. I think any good play you get from freshman is gravy. We're not getting the types of players, such as an Eric Gordon for example, that should be expected to have huge contributions as Freshmen. What we're getting from Sammy is an exception to the rule.
As long as he's improving, he'll be OK. Now, if there's not a lot of improvement next year and definitely by his Jr. year, then it might be time to raise the caution flag....A real fan celebrates the successes, but also acknowledges the failures of his team.

I do worry about kids like Will who are SO far from home in their first year at school. I can't imagine how tough it is being as far away as WE is from his home and family. That along with all the hard work and expectations that go along with being a BU Basketball player.
I was only about an hour from home my freshman year and I couldn't wait for a Sunday or a Holiday to get my clothes washed and some home cookin'.Get Well Massive Mike! "Once a Brave always a Brave!"

Just throwing this out there, but a lot of coaches will say that the greatest improvement for a college player will be between their freshman and sophomore years... fwiwBradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

If his brother moved here than I am not as worried. I heard an interview with him earlier this year where he made mention that he was only a freshman, and expected there to be some up's and down's. I too worry about kids being so far from home (Cameron Rigby immediately comes to mind), but WE has a bright future for the Braves. Hopefully he realizes that.Onward and Upward!

When you come from Alaska you are most likely going to be far from doing anything. WE will be a fine player. In two years are line-up will be:
Anthony Thompson
Will Egolf
Andrew Warren
Maniscalco
McCain
Total domination!Thinking is the hardest work, that is why so few people do it. -Henry Ford
Yeah...I've been in college for a while now and I'm pretty sure that awesomest is not a word. -Andrew E.

Vice President you are!
We will have to see what happens Saturday. We may have to start lobbying for RA to be in the starting lineup PERMANENTLY!Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
