We should open the chat room during the Coach's show. I like listening and chatting like I do during the games.

As usual, I wasn't at home to catch the show. Recap, please?

I only caught the latter half of the show. In the portion I heard..

-Talked about JC and how great it is to have him and players like Daniel who choose to stay close to home and play for BU. Les would like to see more of the local kids choose BU.

-Caller asked if David Collins had the potential to have an impact like POB. Jim said DC has nice offense but needs to work on his D.

-Dave Snell asked Coach Les if he's been keeping an eye on Chris Roberts and Eddren McCain. Coach Les said Eddren's having a nice year as well as Chris. I think he said Chris has a nice shot but doesn't play much D perhaps due to the style of his team. With Eddren, Les said he reminds him a lot of Ruff. Oh, and he brought-up that great quote from Eddren McCain. You know about kill people...on the court.

-Talked about upcoming Indy St. game.

First half of the show was spent discussing the two games from last week. Coach also talked about Matt Salley's performance at Wichita. Other then that, it was the same old stuff.

For anyone who wants a look at how Eddren McCain plays, we have complete game videos posted from 3 games during his junior year.

I have watched them, and he reminds me more of Billy Wright. Jim Les has probably never seen Wright in his playing days, but he probably knows him now as the head coach at Indianapolis Pike High School, where Les has recruited some of his players. McCain, like Wright, is not quite as jet-quick as Ruffin, but he is very smart, plays tight defense, has a decent shot, and runs his team perfectly. He is also the leading rebounder on his team as a junior and senior.

Here is a link to the thread with the videos--

And here is the thread with all the info we came up with on McCain--

Coach Les seemed to compare McCain to Ruff more on the defensive end than offense. A ball hawk..
