Mike Nadel's columns almost always are carried by the Peoria Journal Star, especially when they relate to sports topics that are relevant to central Illinois, like Illini basketball.
But here is Nadel's column from Friday, and strangely, the PJ Star did not run it. Is there some sinister reason?
This one is about some Chicago area Illini fan who is so mad that he wants to donate to a fund to buy out Bruce Weber's contract and get him fired.
Most of Nadel's article simply consists of comments cut and pasted from emails and message boards, followed by dozens of reader comments.
If Weber does leave or gets fired, what will happen to all those top-notch recruits he has coming in the next couple years? None of them has signed a LOI yet.
