        Kill Me! I'm a man! I'm forty!

Sorry, everything seems to remind me of the Mike Gundy rant.

I'm sorry, I have to vote DIE to the wave.

I REALLY appreciate the enthusiasm (and if you look up to section 10 you will see a near 40 year old making as A$$ of himself nearly every game), but I would encourage you to keep your energy geared toward getting the student section up and rocking.

If the ENTIRE student section is involved it is a lot easier for guys like me to get section 10 "up and rocking."

Send the wave off one one of those timeout surfboards into the Illinois River ... permanently.

(The wave is stupid in all cases, the point of the whole discussion isn't about when it was done two games ago.)

Did anyone else notice during the game they were ready to do the pizza run/make a lay-up and free throw contest, then they pulled them off the floor?

I'm not sure why they didn't do the contest, but I was kinda glad they didn't do it because the crowd was pretty jacked at that point. Those contests tend to quiet things, from my perspective. Then again, my section tends to be pretty quiet anyways and standing is a no-no. I really thought that section near the students, opposite the Bradley bench looked energetic throughout. Every time I looked over there, those people were on their feet. I was jealous.

ONLY during timeouts when everyone is sitting on their a$$es. When the second horn sounds, the wave MUST be stopped.

                    No

Really has nothing to do with the other night. Just hate the wave. I would be OK with during timeouts also. I have seen the crowd starting to get fired up then die down because of the wave being worked on though. I would rather have the band and Cheerleaders keep the cheers going though the timeout. As I said in a earlier post though I really don't care what they do. It doesn't bother me either way.

I voted Die... but Connor, if you do continue, then I suggest running the rink in the mid-section of the arena... I know, I know - the lower bowl won't see ya... but since everything else is so scripted at the games, you should become scripted too. I doubt B Parker would like it if all the sudden he needed to jump out of his seat to go do something and get trampled from you and followers doing the wave.

There COULD be a time and place for you and the wave... but you and the wave ain't special... you get filed under the "scripted" sideshows.

Take a number and wait in line - Game Management will call you when the first available grouchy "G McC-lookalike" is available.

I'm not personally a huge fan of the wave itself but it seems to get a lot of people excited and entertained and if its small things like that for some people that keep them coming out and packing Carver then I say keep it alive but add something to it. Or maybe don't even try to start a wave, just run the sidelines and try to get people to stand up and make some noise or keep making noise going into a timeout. Maybe carry a couple of the giant face signs with you too. Just a few ideas. I've seen Connor get about as pumped up as anyone in the student section or the entire arena for that matter and for that i voted to keep it alive, but make it better.

On a side note i think we need to bring back "THIS IS BRADLEY!" a couple times a game. It kinda disappeared after it got overused for a couple games but we need to bring it back sparingly.

I vote for the wave to die.

BUConnerD....Loved it when you acted like you were gonna tackle that dude after the Papa John's promo earlier in the season. One of the funniest things I've seen.

BUConnorD do what you feel is right. you have shown more spirit this year than anybody else I know. If you want to do the wave, wait for the right moment and I'll run around the stadium with you. Don't let these people that say no to discourage you. I personally felt that at the ISU game, we were too quiet until something happened. I know that certain fans that I met before the game did their best to keep the student section into it, but the truth is during the game and especially during the timeouts we fell silent. I think that during the timeouts would be a great time to do the wave, especially if we have just fallen behind.

Keep the crowd into it. I expected showing up at Carver Arena at 4:30 in the afternoon that it would be packed, but it wasn't as I was the 2nd person in line. I think that it took the student section too long to fill up and I know that some people can't necessarily stand for the entire game like we did versus MSU, but I felt that the "War on 74" deserved the same crowd dedication that MSU got. I think that that crowd was a bit of a letdown compared to the MSU game even though it was rocking at Carver Arena. Nobody was having their parents text them like my friend was, saying that we need to be quieter because the coach is on the floor yelling to his team what play to run because they can't hear because of the crowd. I think at times we got very quiet and I am not going to lie, I expected a little more noise from us.

BUConnorD keep it up no matter what the other posters say. I was at a Cubs game when they started the wave and everyone got into it. If you feel it is too quiet, look for me in the front row, between the two of us, we can, at the very least, make the student section rocking.

I am asking that no one rip me for this post as this is just how I feel after being at the homestand we just hand.
