Great article about BU President Joann Glasser--
I usually read the comments from pjstar.com and this was an interesting point of view (from the above article).

"The best idea I can give her is to get Bradley out of the Valley so the coaches can get recruit and get players to play here. National media attention goes to the major conferences not conferences like the Missouri Valley. Get back in with all the old Valley teams - Cincinnati, Tulsa, Memphis, etc. just to name a few, and get on TV to get your product out there. Go BU! but get out of the Valley to be taken serious."

I would do it the other way around. I would elevate the Valley by going hard after St. Louis and Butler.

I'm sure our current athletic facilities are a greater drawback than the conference.
The MVC does need to do way better with TV, though. The MVC should of lobbied ESPN really hard to get included on the ESPN Plus (which also includes ESPN360) package that the B10 abandoned. I'm also getting sick of having to read the ESPN News ticker for 10+ minutes, including several rotations of NCAAB before they show most MVC scores.
I still think that officiating issues are one of the MVC's biggest issues. I'm glad they are beginning to recognize that officiating issue to include more Tuesday games..

Yes! That is exactly what should happen.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

            Yes no type of answer.

If we really want to stand out and be on TV more we need to go on the road and play Top 20 teams. Gonzaga and Memphis are two teams that are in weak conferences but are on national TV quite a bit due to their out of conference schedule. Temple use to play a really hard non-conference schedule go around .500 win their league and become darlings in the Tourney.

On bringing in other schools to the Valley we need to make sure that they come from big metropolitan areas or have a system in place like Gonzaga or Memphis to attract media coverage. St. Louis could fit that mold as long as they keep RM and Butler seems to have the momentum to fit that mold but I'd rather see the Valley go after Memphis.

As long as Memphis plays I-A (FBS) football they won't be coming to the Valley.

Adding St.Louis to the Valley would be a huge mistake as it would give them an unfair advantage in the tour.; I could see adding Butler and maybe Valpo if they were interested ; also there is no way we leave the Valley and trying to schedule Memphis and Gonzaga is not that easy as they probably would not come here.

Higgins and Sanzere are veteran officials that worked last nights game. I would say I was less then impressed with their handling of the game. Especially Higgins he did a good job of making sure we all noticed him.

Beyond the t's there were several extreme tick tack fouls 36 fouls are a lot of fouls.

Those "vets" really seemed to feed into my (perhaps misguided) opinion that the refs hate a loud game. They'd rather issue a bad call to get boos, just to work in the ensuing quiet, than let the crowd keep getting louder, and louder..
There just seems (in my opinion) to be too much of the refs dictating the style of play in the MVC.

I'm gonna have to go with "misguided" on that one.
