    The 5 Technicals

    1) Coach JL said he got his in the 1st 1/2 for yelling across the court... and he was warned.

    2) ISU player (#5 - I think) jawed (kept smacking - and BU player said nothing) after an Andrew Warren scrub to the loose ball, he got a personal and a T... just as a media time-out hit.

    3) ISU player hung on the rim and seemed "showboaty"/taunting with the hanging.

    4) Matt Salley POUNDED an ISU player and after the whistle blew, play was done, MS jawed some harsh trash (my reading lips is bad, but I think I saw the F-bomb).

    5) Jankovich got one after a charging foul was called against ISU... I think it came too quick, but I don't know if/how he was warned.

which BU player said nothing? Ruff was jawing with Boo while coming off the floor and he wasn't very quiet about it

        Alls I KNOW....

The Ref said he watched EVERYTHING after the ball was dead.... Janko even ran down to plead (maybe the same case you suggest) and the ref said he watched EVERYTHING and the BU player said nothing and the ISU player kept it up.

So I can only guess... if it was Ruff... and I thought it was him.... my attention went to #5 for a reason, I thought there mighta been something... and #5 spatted harshly... then bang, the T, and the official ran to the scoretable.

Who knows what Ruff said (I missed that part) - if it was him. Coulda been as harmless as Tony Bennet's comment to a Pitt player ('hope you enjoy your ride home') that got him fired up.

I saw Jordan Prosser, he was sitting near the BU bench, kinda behind lefty,
He was in the BU lockerroom during the pregame along with his friend.
He had a tall friend but I don't know if was another recruit.
Someone else told me they saw Donivine Stewart, I did not.
I saw and said hi to several ex-BU players, JJ Tauai, Chuck Westendorf, Steve Doty, Trevor Trimpe.

I had to work tonight. Can someone tell me who was in our starting lineup tonight? I heard that my guy RA started but cant confirm this?

                      Thanks DC and Mob.

Had to rely on Snell and the Coach for my game info even though I missed the start.

Nice win and great to have Ruff back.

I had a great time at the game, all the more so because we won. Great to see Ruff back, I didn't see it coming. Even when I saw him warming up, I thought he might see a few minutes, but not 24 or whatever he played.

The ISU fans were game, and that was fun. A couple of their students were running around with a flag, which was sorta cool, though they kinda ran over a guy who was trying to get to his seat. Anyway, now we just need to get them at Redbird Arena.

They have a good team. Amazing what a difference Jankovich has made there. Always thought this group was talented, but now they're playing well consistently too.

One thing that bothered me... The ISU related trivia. Thanks but not thanks. And then they were showing ISU highlights on the scoreboard. Again, I appreciate that ISU is good, but that board needs to be for BU highlights only (and I'd expect the same at their place-- ISU only). I hope Slack is okay, looked bad... was afraid he broke his collarbone, but sounds like it may not be that bad.

I really think they are starting to turn the corner.

I could see them winning 10 games (EDIT: in conference) if they continue to gel and get Ruffin back into the offense.

Whew what a game. I think I can relate with Crouch being bushed. I barely had the energy to stand up the last few minutes after a long day back at school and a very tense exhausting game for a fan. I don't know how a player can maintain the composure and strength to keep going in a tight game like that at the end. I think the refs got irritated with our fans and both coaches complaining to them in the first half so they just started calling quick technicals. I will say the dunk technical and Salleys technical should of been called. ISU was hanging on the rim every dunk and Salley plain slammed down that one ISU player and then stood over him for a couple seconds. Les clearly thought it was a good call as Salley warmed the bench for the remainder of the game after Les gave him a few choice words. Also, after watching the WEEK highlights of the game tonight, Salley gave one of the ISU players a pretty good bump as he turned to run up the court, so it may have been an ongoing trash talk war between the 2. All I know is, I plan on getting my ISU tickets very soon, that is going to be 1 heck of a game. I expect more technicals as well.

I thought BU's losing this year was just because they stink and have an awful coach
                              I really didn't think Ruff would make a difference........NOT!
Wow...you have issues. Not a single one of your "points" above is even remotely close to what has actually been said on the board over the last couple weeks...but go ahead and overdramatize everything if the mood strikes you, I suppose.

Anyway...awesome effort by the Braves tonight. Great crowd and a great atmosphere for a college basketball game. We HAVE to find a way to win at Wichita State on Saturday to make this win mean something...Hopefully Ruff is back for good now...He will give us a huge boost on both ends of the floor once he gets that step of quickness back...

It is still maddening to watch this team give up offensive rebounds and easy scores over and over and over again...If the coaching staff would just make rebounding a priority, this team could actually get on a roll...But until that happens, I fear that we are simply going to have to hope that this team can shoot 50% from 3 in order to win games...and that is something that you can't count on game after game...especially on the road...

Oh well...our defensive and rebounding deficiencies are really making this team have to work so much harder than it should to win some of these games, but a win tonight is a win...and it was fun to be a part of. Saturday on the road against a bad, bad team is absolutely huge for us now...win that one and a .500 finish in the Valley is well within our reach...and we have to get there first before we start to aim higher....

                              BEAT THE SHOCKERS!

Sally had to stay on the bench. He had just fouled out of the game.

Here's a link to Benson's blog on the game. He talks about the refs and T's:

ISU coach Tim Jankovich got his first technical of the season for "waving his hand" at official John Higgins. Jankovich was right in front of me and didn't say a word. But he wasn't alone. There were five technicals, all in the second half, with Higgins calling three of them. Higgins is a very good official, but he was a little too over the top Wednesday. Dinma Odiakosa deserved a technical for hanging on the room and Bradley's Matt Salley was rightly whistled for taunting Richardson after knocking him to the ground, but the other technicals to Bradley coach Jim Les and Richardson were really questionable. The officials were trying to take control of a heated game with a hostile crowd, but they need to remember everyone came to watch the players. The technicals ruined what was otherwise a memorable game.

I am not saying the refs cost ISU the game. They were a factor for both teams.
