I am constantly amazed at the obsession ISU fans have with Bradley and trying to insult/put down Bradley and their fans. It is mostly a one way street, as every Bradley fan I know thinks very little about ISU and their past players.
Can anyone explain their obsession? They have a good team and they should be focused on their own team and success, but there are constantly ISU fans here on the Bradley board (I can't recall ever seeing a Bradley fan post on their board), and many of their discussions involve attacks and insults toward Bradley.

Chalk it up to basketball envy. Since going Div. 1, their teams have done NOTHING on the national scene ... other than produce Doug Collins. Their fans aren't the most knowledgable, but ARE the most fickle. Their attendance figures over the years bear this out. There is hope for them, however. They have a great AD and, apparently, a pretty good coach.

If the ISU fans have a certain pride and even if they want to be a little braggish, I guess they have the right this year.
they are doing well and BU hasn't been, so I can take it if they want to rub it in a little.
BUT...the season is not yet over, and there may yet be a little chance some will be eating their words.

Posting which player you hate the most makes more sense to me then posting which players got speeding tickets.
          Can we start winning soon?

Lakeview.........I admire your courage. You are really rolling the dice with a statement like that.
Dinma Odiakosa 6'8 255......The Nigerian Nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 37 points and 27 boards in 2 wins over Bradley. "Will Egolf is 6'9 and he had 4 rebounds. That's not good enough and he's not good enough"....Dick Versace 2/9/10

Maybe tonight's promotion should have been "Jail the 'birds" or "Cage the 'birds"!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

So declaring that you hate someone is more admirable than calmly discussing what is openly a matter of public record?

Anyway....there sure isn't a whole lot of posting about people getting speeding tickets...
feel free to show me all those links.....

but indeed I really doubt you'd ever see a thread on BradleyFans in which numerous BU fans name the people or players on ISU that they hate.
we just don't have an obsession about ISU nor do we stay up late at night hating them and wishing they fail!
We can debate as to why it exists on a Redbird board but not on a BU board, but I think it the same reason we don't see people here with avatars and signatures that proclaim the "ISU S*CKS" or "Ruck the Fredbirds", etc....

It is similar to why BU fans don't rush the court when BU beats ISU, and it is the same reason why the ISU-fan dominated message board that just two years ago was where 100% of the Bradley fans hung out, now has only a fraction of the BU discussion this board has.

We love and have pride in our team, players, and program whether or not we beat ISU and whether or not we win all our games.
Seems ISU's success hinges totally on showing up BU. Seems some ISU fans have a deep obsession and concern about everything Bradley.
I cannot explain it, but it is certainly one of the reasons this board exists, since we feel we are quite different and don't need to see ISU fail to justify our season.

I'm a cubs fan. I recently made friends with a Brewers fan. He hates the cubs. I don't care about the Brewers.

                    it's kinda like that.

This way, now that news has leaked out, ISU will have to prepare for both possibilities!
Well, if Ruffin does make his comeback tonight... then BBFan'77 is right... every time a player comes back from an injury, their first game is against ISU.

I just got done reading that ISU thread. What a friggin joke!

I'd love to put in a vote for ya Tornado but I wouldn't waste my time even registering as a member on their loser site...............What a bunch of @ss clowns

I didn't like those jerks when I went to Bradley during the Verace era, and my thoughts haven't changed since. Funny thing though. I really can't name a player of theirs that I disliked because none of them were really worth a darn and we always beat them like a drum. I must say that I did not like Bob Donewald................big-time whiner like Bruce Weber with an EXTREMELY boring style of play. Gotta hand it to him though. He did get the most out of a bunch of no-talent hacks and managed to give most teams a competitive (albeit boring) game.

Go Braves!!! Make this game your "Season Maker"!

I agree that I think Donewald seemed like a good coach, though he had little success after ISU canned him.

And you are also right that the talent level at ISU has been mostly below that of Bradley throughout history.

Here are all the ISU players who have played in the NBA--

That is half the number of players that have played in the NBA from basketball powerhouses like Idaho State--

and here is the list from Bradley. Come to think of it, maybe I do see why ISU fans are jealous of Bradley--

I thought Heemskirk had his career high (half but got injured again?) vs ISU.
