I recall they have had kids from Indiana on their roster.
Having attended one of these so-called "powerhouse private schools," I can speak for a fact that NO non-academic scholarships get rewarded at the school I attended. That's not to say coaches didn't have the right to go and try to convince kids to come to the school to play a certain sport. Public school coaches do the exact same thing, but aren't ridiculed like the private schools are. Public and private schools also recruit the best students by showing how good the academics are at their particular school.
If you had a way of checking the actual households of where the kids that attend these schools are from, you'd find that nearly every student will lie within these conventional "boundary" lines.

I'd love to see any proof that a child attended Joliet Catholic while living in Indiana...that'd be quite the drive to school on a daily basis. And if you mean, kids previously who lived in Indiana ... how can you possibly know what the reason was for their family to move to IL? Do you really think parents would quit their jobs and move to another state just so their kid can play at a "powerhouse" school?

I could go on and on with this topic, but I'll let it not stray too far off base.
      Go Braves!

I'll be there (in the band), along with a ton of other students (hopefully). The crowd better stand up and cheer!

Nice win last night. I doubted Drake on each of their last 4 games, and was proven wrong each time. Keep that national ranking and keep making the league proud.

As for this game tonight...if we have any inkling of crawling out of the play-in round, we gotta start protecting the home court. We haven't beaten a good team all season, enough is enough.

Drake does continue to surprise......congrats and it is clear that Drake already has a lock on Friday in St. Louis, and will avoid having to play Thursday.
This'll make your travel plans a little simpler!

I have heard that several hundred tickets more than usual were bought by ISU and their fans. Should be near a full-house, with a lot of red-wearing fans from both sides.

                        Will we see Captain Brave?

I see DC has been hearing the same things I have. There are rumors of Captain Brave's final Carver Arena appearance this season, but nothing has been confirmed. His hatred for the Redbirds is unmatched, which has many believing he may be in attendance. There were rumors that he was going to make a surprise appearance on Alumni Weekend, but the Drake heartbreak must have kept him in his Fortress of Solitude to watch the Evansville game on the internet. Alas, he is supposedly 'Braving' the elements to use his powers to will BU to the upset. I would advise people to have their cameras ready in case he does make an appearance.

If he's not there, I'd have to question where his priorities are. This is our biggest game of the year...until Saturday.
