What bothers me most about last night......a 6'1 player drives the length of the court in 10 secs and gets all 3 rebounds and shots off winning the game.....6'1?
"Keno (Davis) said in the huddle that 10 seconds is a long time," Emmenecker said. "I wanted to get to the basket quick so we'd have a chance for a putback. But if you would have told me we'd have three chances in the last 10 seconds, that's kind of unheard of."
It's only unheard of if the other team (Bradley) has big men in the game that actually rebound the ball.
A real fan celebrates the successes, but also acknowledges the failures of his team.

Dude. ER3 pointed this out in another thread. If you put Thompson, Egolf or Singh in the game at that point, Cox floats to the 3-point line, which draws them away from the basket and makes the point of them being in the game completely irrelevant. It's about matchups, not size.

I love what Les has and is doing to Bradley Basketball. I rarely have criticism of him or of his decisions. I know DC is either in the doghouse/not good/some other reason Les doesnt want to play him. But I will say this. If there are 15 seconds left and it comes down to a rebound saving your game, especially against 73 inches, just give the guy 11 inches taller those 15 seconds.

hmmmm.....I have got to see the video of the end of this game......but when the player came down the floor you keep a foot in the paint and close out if your player is passed the ball.......but your right its about matchups and apparently Drake had the ones they wanted.....
We are also wasting a whole season for Egolf by not playing him; one injury will not get him into a game as Austin and Collins would be the other choices.

We were already down one scholarship player due to Ray Brown's late departure, and are down another scholie player by redshirting AT. WE was playing meaningful minutes early, and was vying for a vital role early on. Those minutes forfeited his redshirt. You can't redshirt everyone, and WE did show some promise early on. I think it's a low blow to fault the staff for not redshirting him. Yeah, it would have been nice, but hindsight is 20/20.
Why are these players not ready to play by now with half the season gone and numerous practices; and if they are not ready now then will they ever be as most are jr. college transfers with 1 season left.
