When you only have 4 guards available (If you count TW a Forward)
Never, Never, and I mean never play all 4 at the same time!!!
Subing TCS for TW has to be the worst possible strategy a coach could imagine. You need to use TCS's minutes to rest your 3 good starting guards (both physically and agains foul trouble.)
I do not care how good you think your 4 guards play together vs your bigs.
I don't care if you are salivating to the future when you (and I would be OK) if you played DR, SM, JC and AW at the same time
You knew you were playing a high pressure team and your 3 good guards would use all of their energy if we were to win.
Well, you blew this one Jim. You subbed TCS for TW at the beginning of the game and our ~5 point lead quickly turned into a defecit
Then, by the end of the game, Drake's pressure got to our guards that were more tired than they had to be.
This loss is on you, Jim. We seemed to get many rebounds, we caused a bunch of turnovers for them, we ran out of gas from your strategy.
Dave Renyolds pointed out this week that vs UNI we played the most big men minutes since our last win. That stat continues. This loss is on our coach
