Unless you are qualified to be an NCAA coach, lighten up on ours! I'd have to think you wouldn't even be discussing the last play, if you had those "bigs" in the line-up. Drake would have probably drained an open look, or drove in for a foul on the last shot. Plus, most of the complainers would be upset that we didn't play our guards against a team that presses as much as Drake. And they'd be complaining about the 30 turnovers we would have had.
Not being smart-alleck, but it wasn't the first close game of the year, we've had several. Ligthen-up? It is very hard to when the patently obvious coaching mistakes are piling up.

I'm not sure I'm beating up on Coach Les. I think he's a good recruiter, for sure, and he might be a good developer of players too (not sure, not enough info to tell). I just do not, and never have liked the 4-guard set... Don't think it works, and only did last year because we had a fantastic set of personnel to run it, and an amazing lack of post players.

For me that was a big part of what kept Drake in the game at the end.
I did not see any obvious 3rd or 4th steps...I also think that type of game is the hardest to call...there calls both ways...I kind of get tiredof some BU fans that think the other team is the only one that travels and we never foul. Like I said before TW and AW had like 13 or 14 turnovers and why TW didn't run the baseline sometimes to inbound is beyond me.

Sure you have a reason to be upset with the loss tonight. I listened on the internet and I'm upset too. Sure maybe the coaching staff could have done something different, but don't let the losses this season make you forget the great things Coach Les has done for Bradley and the program. GO BRAVES, beat Evansville.
Its the losing that should make you feel sick. We just set a record for consecutive home losses! We are on pace to break the all time home loss record! We are most likely playing on Thursday night! Who is to blame? This team beat us without thier best player, Wichita beat us without thier starting point guard! We were picked second in the Valley and now ISU is much better than us. Yea Im sick to
          Can we start winning soon?

Well we certainly got away with some fouls. Especially in the first half, refs lost those whistles. For me it was mostly randomly bad for both teams for most of the game. In the last four minutes or so, I remember a couple of fouls called on Maniscalco in particular that I thought were travelling calls. Either way you cut it, Drake beat us on that last shot because they kept getting the rebound.

Sorry, I never was neither for or against Jimmy as a coach, I didn't even start posting to this year. But the mistakes are so, so obvious. Again, 20 years since a conference tourament title, and 15 since a regullar season title. Last year was a performance that was typical of a Molinari team, and we ran him out. The year before was largely attributable to swinging POB as a recruit and getting Marcellus to play within himself down the stretch. Three out of five horrible seasons, going on four out of six. I'm not quite ready to say he should go, but I think at the very least we have the right to grouse in light of the underachieving sseason, and at the most, to use an anology, as consumers, I think we need to let the product we are seeing out there is not acceptable.

OK, so a tournament run two years go means he gets ... unlimited leeway?
I know the Sweet 16 run was big. And it's something to be proud of and hang our hat on. But you know what, we were one of 16 to make that point. And there were 16 more that did it last year. And there's gonna be 16 more this year. How long do we hang our hat on one Sweet 16 appearance two years ago?

Coaching is very much a "what have you done for me lately" career. I'm not ready to quit on Les, but there seems to be some hard headedness (making up words now) when it comes to using the bigs. His approach isn't working and he shows no sign of/willingness to try something new.

At this point I have no idea who should have been playing the 5 at the end of the game. I don't trust DC, he is 7 feet but I have seen a lot of boards get ripped out of his hands and there has to be a reason why he hasn't played in a while. Austin is still an unknown, Sing is smart and strong enough but has mobility issues, and Salley's stat line tonight was not so good, to put it kindly.

One of the things that bothers me is we have 3 jucos that are not huge contributers. Every now and the TCS plays some but Collins hasn't been in for several games now. RA has only plyed some at UNI. I'm really wondring at what point do they really contribute...one thing for sure is JL can't play Salley and Singh next year...so someone else has to play

                          1st close game? Really?

Learn from our mistakes? Ha ha ha ha. That is a good one. We jack up threes...give up offensive rebounds...we lose...Bluther on in the post-game show about "needing better attention to detail"..."guys not executing"..."this will give us some good film to learn from"....come out in the next game, ditto...next game, ditto. Rinse. Lather. Repeat. Rinse. Lather. Repeat. Learn nothing. Make no adjustments. Frustrating.

Les might want to think about hiring an assistant that knows how to teach kids to rebound for next year's staff because this staff obviously isn't capable of doing that and/or doesn't want to make it a priority. If you are going to play a 3 guard lineup with an undersized 4 and an athletically-challenged 5, you should be spending 2 hours a day in practice teaching your kids how to block out....otherwise you are going to get destroyed on the boards over and over and over again.

And no...I am not qualified to be a Division I basketball coach...but I am qualified to have and express an opinion on the job that ours did in this game.

                              Random thoughts....

Eight points for DU off of inbounds plays under their own basket...most of them , if not all of them, were uncontested layups....horrible!

Matt Salley has ONE basket and three rebounds in 24 minutes. He made a layup on a fast break from a nice pass from JC. This is our inside game? Why is JL so in love with this guy and so reluctant to play RA? DC? WE? Even for a couple minutes....C'mon Jim...

Sam S. may not be the best athlete on the team but at least he has heart. I like having Sam in the game. Tonight he was more productive than MS.

Theron Wilson...I love this guys heart and desire. I think he battles harder than anyone else we have for the ball and for rebounds. Problem is he is only 6' 5" and 190. NINE turnovers tonight...once again...why does RA make a mistake and get yanked right away while TW continues to give the ball away to the other team and remain in the game?

To many minutes for JC, SM, AW, TW....I don't care how good of shape these guys are in....you need a breather once in a while.

If playing time is decided by how well you play in practice...practice must really suck. We basically played 7 guys tonight...that means everyone else has must of had horrible practices....practice must really be awful.....

                              On the good side.......

SM and AW are growing up fast and it's really fun to see these guys blossom before our eyes. AW's behind the back dribble move that allowed him to lose his man and free himself for an open 15 footer, which he made, was sweet. Sammy's shot at the end was big time! I look forward to seeing them play in the years to come.

I thought the team had more fight in them tonight. I do think they are getting "a little better" but still have a long way to go.

JC is JC...which is a good thing...he needs Ruff, as does the rest of the team, to penetrate and kick it to him for more shots. JC has to work pretty hard to get his shots right now.

Sounds like Daniel's rehab is going well....hurry back DRuff.

Isn't Singh a Jr.? I had thought he had no more eligibility left and told my wife the other day when she asked. I checked, and they list him as a Jr. Is he the latest version of Chad Klein Remember him--a big guy who had a red-shirt year, another year where he sat most of it out, and he seemed to be around forever? Accept I sure wish we had him back. He wasn't agile, could't jump, but was he ever court-aware with great footwork and positioning.
