Brand new article on scout/insiders this morning.
With all this new hype on Marvell, I wonder if BU is still in the mix.
"Canadian Waithe Begins Visit Process"
....One of Canada???¬??s top prospects hits the visit trail hard this week. Small forward Marvell Waithe out of Sir Walter Laurier Collegiate begins his visits on Monday.
Last weekend???¬??s Real Deal On The Hill was merely the beginning of long week for small forward Marvell Waithe. The 6-foot-7, 190 pounder out of Canada, participated in the event with the G.C. Ballers and then was set to leave on his first official visit Monday morning.
Waithe has four trips planned in the next 3 weeks. Georgia begins the process on Monday followed by Bradley on Wednesday then Iowa and Cincinnati in successive weekends.
???¬?Right now they???¬??re all even right now,???¬?? Waithe told Scout.com. ???¬?I want to go somewhere where I can play as a freshman where I can show my athleticism and get up and down and run. I sort of play like Tayshaun Prince, a long athletic game.???¬??
Last season, Waithe ran with Sir Walter Laurier Collegiate School. He made a name for himself on the summer circuit by shooting the basketball with proficiency despite a spindly frame. Waithe said this year in Canada was a good one and the level of play up north is getting better.
???¬?It???¬??s pretty good competition. I think it???¬??s quite similar to down here. I think we???¬??re catching up to basketball in America. The competition is real high..............."
