Most people realize that the sweet 16 run will not help Bradley as much this year as it will next year with respect to recruiting. Let's face it, most of the really great players are already signed at this point.

I have resurrected this old thread that mentioned reserve guard Jeremiah Wise leaving Indiana State. In today's PJ Star, John Supinie has an article about Jamar Smith and the Illinois basketball team, and he mentions that Wise, who left Indiana State after one year, will try to make the Illinois team as a walk-on. There are 2 other walk-ons -- Trent Meacham, transfer from Dayton, and Steve Holdren, transfer from South Dakota State.

      John Supinie's article--

Jeremiah Wise was from Maywood Proviso East high school, class of 2005. He played in 21 games last season and started 3 games at Indiana State for Royce Waltman. He was ofter in the coach's doghouse for poor shot selection and defensive mistakes, and missed a couple games because of tendinitis. He did not play after Feb. 8 because of a knee injury. He averaged 4.9 ppg and shot 41.8% on 3-pointers.

Takais Brown, the highest ranking remaining junior college forward (#6 overall) has committed to Georgia. His decision was between UGA, Purdue, UNLV, and a late push from Indiana.

Takais Brown was never a strong contender for a scholarship top BU, and I guess now it is fortunate.
News has Takais Brown getting kicked off the team at Georgia for academic reasons.
(is there anyone that will be surprised if he gets eligible before the conference season begins?)

Nope, not surprised even if it occurs before they are done playing their cupcake opponents:

            And behold, Brown is reinstated:

"A recent NCAA report showed that only one player who signed with Georgia from 1996-99 had gone on to graduate within a six-year period. The Bulldogs tied for the next-worst ranking among 318 Division I hoops programs."
