I didn't know you owned this board MacabreMob.

And by the way, who was this thread started by anyways? Was he a Redbird fan?

You should become a moderator, so you can determine what should be allowed and what shouldn't be allowed. But I forgot, you own this board.....

Come on Cpacmel, you have to expect a little flack (or is it Slack-flack) from Bradley fans here. You know that if someone came on the ISU board bragging about Bradley's recruits the way Danny and pbaby have they would be insulted and cursed at.

I can understand if you ISU fans want to believe you have the world's best recruiting class, but it is not a given to the rest of us clear thinking fans.

I still think ISU will have a lot of trouble scoring without an inside game.

          Beware for Bradley

Seems like many Chicago/Illinois area prospects are telling me that Bradley are showing strong interest in them. Yes ISU had a strong 2006 class, but if what I am hearing from prospects is any indication, Bradley will land some top level players in 2007 and 2008.

Point well taken. I can't speak for whomever pbaby is, but Danny and I have been posters here. We call things like we see them.

When Bradley was doing well, we were the first to congrat you guys here.

I think if you read my comments about this class, you will see that no matter what is said here and now, the classes will be determined by play on the court over the next 2 to 4 years.

But I understand if we have worn out our welcome, so I know I am out of here.

Thanks for the transfer of knowledge and the chatter.

I came in peace and I am leave in peace.

              Arbry Butler, Wichita State
              Bobby Hill, Illinois State
              Jordan Eglseder, N. Iowa
              Kenny Lawson, Creighton
and #1 is Osiris Eldridge, Illinois State

Isaac Miles (Creighton) knocks Butler out of the Top 5.
Here is the final Top 150 from Rivals--

Osiris Eldridge is ranked #137, but the top ranked MVC recruit is Isaac Miles at #132. That appears to give Creighton 2 of the top 3 MVC recruits. They also signed the top scorer in Iowa. I would have to give the title of "Top recruiting class in the MVC" to Creighton. It could still change pending several schools still recruiting.

Da Coach, do you know consider JUCO's when you are rating recruiting classes or is it high schoolers only?

                  CPac - don't go.

All I was trying to say is this.... I like the info. I enjoy reading about other Valley team's recruits.

But... the lovefest and in your face - we have the best recruiting class, blah, blah, blah... man, that can be taken to the Redbird board.

You are not an abuser over here. The other two posters were clogging us with their love fest.

                  So please stay Cpac.

                  Later-

I think you have to consider jucos, too. But you can't assume they will put up the same kind of numbers they did at the juco level. Zo Gordon was one of the few who did come right in and become a stud. I don't think Slack will.
I know Jim Les was impressed with him, but he needed a forward who can score, and that's why Slack was down the list of players he pursued. I know he scored 21 ppg in the juco national tournament, but if you count only the regular season, his average was just 10 ppg. He is OK close to the basket, but it looks like he isn't a shooter.

I think Porter Moser did exceptionally well with the 5 recruits. One of the best classes in the MVC. Will they help much next year? I don't know. I think ISU will still struggle to score. Also, after next year, Dilly will be gone, and he's your only productive forward.

Well MM, I would like to apologize for my ISU brothers. I know DC personally, I can tell you he is not the kind of guy that shoves things in people's faces. THe other guy, I have no clue.

                      Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks CPac for the clarification. And thanks for being a civil poster. Please don't think I run this board - I definitely do not. If anything, I was probably the one out of line to say anything. I have no beef with my MVC brethren... until I start to hear the 'in your face' or the 'arrogance' from someone whose team won the conference, the conf tourney, or just a heads up game.

Honestly MM, it should be me apologizing to you. I can totally understand where you are coming from.

Every school has their good fans and their bad fans.

I know DC will try and keep our ISU glowing down.... trust me, we havent had much to glow about.

I think you know how I feel about the Valley by my posts at Pjstar...and BU is part of the Valley. Of course, during conference games, that is another story.

                            My Bradley friends.........

I sincerely apologize if I was perceived to be out of line. I meant no disrespect at all. I am not like that. Sorry if anything was taken that way. My posts 95% of the time are to inform only. I admit to drinking the Kool-Aid too much on occasion and because of that my posts can be taken the wrong way.

I respect this board and I respect you guys as fans, too. I appreciate you allowing me to throw a couple posts on your board. I hope there are no hard feelings. cpacmel is correct, I am not one to throw anything in anyone's face intentionally.
Dinma Odiakosa 6'8 255......The Nigerian Nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 37 points and 27 boards in 2 wins over Bradley. "Will Egolf is 6'9 and he had 4 rebounds. That's not good enough and he's not good enough"....Dick Versace 2/9/10

Hey--I sorta like a little bit of ISU-BU debate.
You guys who support ISU are very welcome here in my eyes.
As long as you understand it is our duty to talk up the BU recruits and talk down the ISU guys.

But seriously...I read a comment over on the Redbird board that went something like this...

..that one of the ISU fans was watching BU's march to the Sweet Sixteen only 4 years post 18 and 20 loss seasons.
And he pondered why couldn't that be ISU in a couple years.

                              And you know what??
It can, and it should be especially if you are an ISU fan.
It would be good for the Valley.
