Last year, the team really teased him about finally making the conference season, and kinda treated him like glass as he approached the conference season..
Based on his post-game comments, I'm sure he'd gladly trate starts/ PT for wins. But both is the best of all to him..

I really hope Jim sees how much better this starting lineup and rotation suited his personnel. Salley was simply not the guy this team needed starting at the 5 and logging major minutes there. He's undersized, playing out of position, and not as talented as any of our other big men. Sam is a true 5, and even if he fouls out in 15 minutes, he should be logging those kind of minutes against just about anyone in this league. Last night's lineup was our best of the year, as was the big man rotation. Stick with it Jim, it looked great!Onward and Upward!

I also see sam singh as a piece of the puzzle. I agree he's much more suited for the 5.
Sam & Matt looked real GOOD together on the floor.heading north!

I know I have posted this before....but after meeting SamS and talking with him at the BU team camp, I came away with a respect for him as a TEAM player and person.....he has worked so hard to be able to simply play....can't be happier for another player.....keep it up Sam!Peoria Toyota Scion

He proved that if he posts up down low and we are able to get him the ball he can score; he may not be a super star but he does the things that can help a team win; he is a good role model on how he has overcome many injuries to get where he is today.

You never see him out of position and he knows just how far out of the paint he needs to go to be effective. He is a heady player that makes the team that much better. For once we had some power in the paint. GO SS!!!"Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

Good for you Sam Singh!!! You are finally being appreciated as the most fundamentally
sound big man that we have. Keep setting those big screens and rolling towards the
basket to relieve the pressure on our wing shooters. Rebound and score within your game
and you will log lots of minutes the remainder of this season.
This kid can really help us around the basket if he is allowed to log some playing time
and get used to his role on this team. His recovery is a great story with what I hope will
be a very happy ending for him. Good luck Sam!TODASKY!

Lookin Up-
I like your assessment of Sam, I agree completely. Although his physical abilities might not do exactly what he knows to do and how to do it, I think the brains outweigh the brawn in this case. Like you said, let the points come to him, take the easy points, take what comes his way, and don't force it. Focusing a little more on being smarter with his positioning and "use" less of his fouls and he should log more than 15 mins.
This is also good advice for the other big men; athleticism can make up for some knowledge deficiencies, but if you are blessed with the athleticism, knowledge will only make you better.A real fan celebrates the successes, but also acknowledges the failures of his team.

If you play DR at the one, SM at the 2, do you move JC to a 3 and then have Wilson at a 4 or does AW share minutes at the 3 with JC?
DR coming back will be great for this team and will help with the distribution of minutes, and will give JL more options. I just hope he doesnt fall back in love with the smaller players at the 4 and use Salley at the 5.
