I noticed Dave's comment: "a necessarily deeper bigs rotation"
I'm pretty sure darn near ALL of us has said that for how long now? Am I reading into that if I say that it sounds as if we might not maintain the bigs rotation because it may not be "necessary" against other squads? Granted UNI's Coleman isn't on every squad, but that rotation gets us (a little) closer to balanced.

By the way, a little sidebar if I may, it's been said on other threads, but in the interests of posting consolidation, I've been saying for years about Coleman getting away with being a bull in a China shop and throwing himself all over the place. It's as if the refs were in the shop, they'd blame the China, not the bull.

Man, I hope we don't abandon this "new" rotation....and for the love of everything holy, can somebody get to the bottom of why DC, who has shown flashes of good play, to go along with more than the fair share of maddeningly bad/lost play, gets NO minutes or very limited? With our lack of inside production, I figure he should be good for at least 10-15 mins a game, in short spurts maybe? I want answers, dammit!!! I'll give the team/staff credit for being able to keep whatever reasoning it is under wraps.....
A real fan celebrates the successes, but also acknowledges the failures of his team.

It is as simple as this.....
It is the coach's decision. If you have ever had kids play sports, even at the Jr. HS level, then the answer you always get is that the coach's decision as to playing time is not subject to question.
Jim Les obviously wants to keep the playing rotation where it is, and the other guys either have to wait their turn or work to get better and break into the rotation as Rashad has done.

I think the key to the deeper bigs rotation is the 4 spot.

The 4 spot was always our most "shallow" position. Jim used to sub TW with either WE or going really small with 4 guards, In the earlier games without DR the 4 guards minutes combined were greater than 120, meaning that TCS was essentially subbing for TW. Not only was that a weaker sub for that position, but left us with more tired guards.

Now that we can, finally, use RA as a sub in the 4 spot, we get more rested guards, and have a stronger player than TCS or WE in the 4 spot, and have much better overall play. It showed last night.
