JC's BU stats.......

With the big game tonight JC should get his own thread! Tonight he looked like the Sr leader the Braves have been lacking with the injury to DR!
I did a little research and came up with this......JC now has made 200 3's so far in his Bradley career! JC now has 934 total pts as a Brave and should hit the 1000 pt club within the next few weeks! KUDOS to JC for hanging in there!::biggrin:

___BU 3 pt career record holders....
1. Aaron Zobrist.......233
2. Phillip Gilbert........223
3. Jeremy Crouch.....200

Good job on stats, Mike.......

JC's 3-pt totals for his career are as follows

2004-05: 46-125
2005-06: 15-62
2006-07: 83-166
2007-08: 56-127
Totals-- 200-480 (42%)

Barring injury, BU and JC should have at least 15 games remaining.
JC needs to keep averaging about 2 made 3-pointers per game to break the BU career record. That's just about what he's averaged over his career, although this season he is averaging almost 3.4 made 3-pointers per game.

A huge factor in JC's big night vs UNI was the kind of 1st half Andrew Warren had. AW lit 'em up in the first half. UNI gave him the face-guard treatment in the second half. Combine that with some low post presence from Sam Singh, and you have a pretty good formula for JC's success. Hopefully, this can continue. Reminded me some of what occurred last season with Will Franklin.

This would of easily been another 10-15 point loss for BU if Crouch wasn't hot. 55% from 3's with most from Crouch and only 39% shooting overall. I can't count how many times BU missed easy layups and little chip shots. Going to need an equal to above performance than this against Drake wednesday.

While we are playing that game, how about--- if it wasn't for Coleman having such a big game scoring and rebounding, Bradley would have won last night in a laugher.

And if it wasn't for Josh Mayo, Shan Foster, Raymar Morgan, AJ Graves, Eric Maynor, Spencer Laurie, PJ Couisnard, Carlton Fay, as well as Eric Coleman each getting hot, Bradley would be 17-0!! and probably ranked in the top 20.:)

I listened to the game but it did sound like the early inside game of SS gave their D something else to think about along with all those Offensive rebounds.

Since I did not see the game were the majority of JC's 3s taken from the dribble around screens or from a pass and set shot?

AW made some 3s where were they taken from the corner or the top of the key.

Last night Da Coach and I sat behind the team bench so I watched some things going on that are too far from site in my upper bowl season seats........IMO JC has been logging too many minutes per game with DR out, in effect making his shot fall short late in the 2nd half! Last night evry player seemed to has gas left in their tanks to finish the game.....my grade on JL and staff last night would be an A!

Anyone notice Dave Reynolds article today talked about JC being at 200 3's putting him in 3rd place all time behind AZ and PG? Yes I looked that up in the Bradley Press Guide and added up all 4 of JC's years in the Braves yearly stats section @ 2:39 am! Glad I could help out!

Several of JC's scores came when Coleman got switched off on him. JC either shot over him, or forced him to foul by putting it on the floor.

I'm gonna say it now and you can count on it. Warren is going to be a big part of this team next year. We're going to really need that too with Ruff and JC leaving. :(

I agree with evrything you say G except you forgot to add Sam Maniscalco to your top future players post with AW!

The future does indeed look good even with Ruffin, Crouch, and Salley leaving. Warren and Sam M are a very solid and young starting point to run the show. Add to that the fact our bigs should not miss Salley too much and still be able to work Egolf and AT into the rotation with Wilson, Singh, Austin, and DC. We will definitely need TCS to contribute much more next season as well as getting quality minutes from at least one of the incoming guards. Hopefully, Thornton can be a nice roleplayer ala DA.
