  • Blake Mishler to transfer to Illinois State

Blake Mishler, a class of 2006 Metamore grad, spent 1 1/2 years at East Tennessee State. He is transferring to Illinois State.
He'll be a walkon, and he'll have to sit out 2 semesters and be eligible at the semester break next year. He averaged 2.7 points and 2.0 rebounds per game at ETSU.--

    He is redshirting this semester...

If he played this semester as a JR, he would only have 1 year left (total of 1.5 years of playing time at ISU).

Since he is redshirting this year, he will have a full JR and SR year (total of 2 years of playing time at ISU).

I think this ends up being very beneficial for ISU and Blake. He ends up being there a whole year longer and gives ISU another sem. I think he could be Danny Adams-esque for ISU, which would be a HUGE get for any team.

The only way Blake Mishler compares to Danny Adams is, they both went to Metamora.
If Blake ever plays consistantly for ISU, they are in the play in game.
