BU Frontcourts - Who's better?

One was a front court Jim inherited. One was a front court Jim recruited. One had a lot to do with a terrible season (12-18, 8-10 in league play). The other is contributing greatly to a terrible season (7-9, 0-4 in league play). Personally, I don't see much of a difference between the two, which is kind of upsetting 6 years in. I know that it's not all Jim's fault, but we still shouldn't be back to where we were 6 years ago talent-wise.

The last 2 years have been barren in total playing ability. (Sure Zach is Zach, but he did not make a complete big man lineup.)

I believe it. I was very impressed with what I saw from AT in his limited time this preseason, and think he's going to be great for us for the next 4 years. I think we have a good young core of 4 year players, it's just discouraging to see that we put together such a bad frontcourt to go with our solid backcourt.

Jabbar Battle might have been the best big man on that 02-03 team. Don't believe me? Watch the tape from the game at Wichita St. during the 03-04 season. He unfortunately rarely saw time during his senior yr after his run in with the law before the season.

I thought that outside of hit free throws, Jabbar had the best feel for the game. He was a good passer and was the only post player with any real offensive skill. He never seemed to fit Jim's style though, being a slower, less athletic player. The run-in with the authorities didn't help matters.

I missed the JL radio show tonight......good to hear that AT has that much ability on the O' side! Does anyone know if AT has gained any more weight......I know Ronnie Wright will have him stronger!

Said they started working on footwork (as most HS'ers have bad footwork), and now that he has a solid grasp of footwork, that he's really good at the post, right or left, hookshots...
