On, I believe the "other" forum, a poster (I wish I remembered the name to give credit) wrote a description of that moment, that, to me, was wone of the most memorable sports event descriptions I've read. It went something like:

Out of the time-out, with 30 seconds remaining, Coach called for an isolation play,
The only players inside were a large (~6'9"?) WSU defender and 6'4" Lawrence Wright standing under the basket
Ruffin passed the ball into Boogie. Flat-footed, Boogie rose up. As his shoulder reached rim-height, the (much larger) WSU defender realized he was hopelessly overmatched, and could only stand there.
Boogie threw down the one-handed tomahawk dunk. Simultaneously, the Bradley bench and the Civic Center croud Jumped up and roared. In the insuing celebration, [Then, much maligned] Coach Les looked ofer towards WSU coach Mark Turgeon as if to say, "Its Over!"
Calmly, Boogie went to the free-throw line and sank the FT to put Bradley up 73-68.

Chearleaders are great and teams have been great but what never really changes which I like the most are that we have the classiest (most of the times) and passionate fans imaginable for such a small school. As an alumni of course I wish we could be a top 10 team year in and year out or even for one year real soon but if that meant giving in to questionable behavior and players I'm sure the majority of fans here would rather have us the way we are right now.

Understood that Chico... I added the classy person part as I have a lot of respect for Coach Stowell going back to the days when I went to his basketball clinics as a kid.... By the way, one of the kids in the clinic was pretty much known then as Tom Les' little brother.

Maybe I'm a sap but I think Coach Stowell is one of the best coaches of all-time and one of the greatest guys I've ever met. Unfortunately, as is the case with many long-time coaches, the recruiting game changed when TV revenues tilted the scales to the BCS school's favor and that part of the game passed the old coach by. Still, IMO, Coach Stowell was one of the best instructional and "x's and 0" coaches ever.

Very well said Braves4Life. Aside from being one of the best instructional and "x's and o's" coach, Stowell was a master teacher of how a person should conduct themselves throughout life.

Getting to hang around practices as a kid when my older brother was a team manager, than hanging around practices when I worked at the FH. Like to think I picked up some good coaching/playing tips through about 15 years of watching BU practices.
