    Missouri State 91 Bradley 80

Bradley gave up too many easy shots and offensive rebounds by MSU.

What a disaster, we need to start over. Really we're soft inside and out, and we're lacking big time in basketball smarts, that goes for the coaching staff and the players. I will say that Sam M. played better tonight, and I think Sam S. had a decent game.

We need rebounders and we need them bad. Singh is decent, but Salley and Wilson can't handle the load. What a disaster we have down low on defense....

We remained in a zone for about 4 straight MSU possessions during a critical stretch in the 2nd half. Not sure why we stayed in the zone as they kept raining 3s.

Also, zones make it harder to get rebounds since no one has someone they are specifically supposed to seal out. This creates lanes that are easy for offensive players to fill and grab boards.

I also didn't like our freshman point guard losing his cool and shoving ?Richards towards the end. Not sure why he wasn't given a technical foul.

        Horrible defense. Rebounding was worse.

        Where was Collins?

I really dont understand how we got out rebounded that bad! They are not that much bigger than us, why dont we box out?? Only Singh boxed out no one else.

One of my best friends named CHE playes with me in a rec league. He is not that good at basketball, he is not tall and only has one good knee but the kid will box out anyone and gets his butt on people twice his size keeping them out of the lane so someone else can get the rebound. He should go to a practice with this team because they can learn from him. Rebounding is about postion and HEART.
          Can we start winning soon?

Singh did do well on defense, but his hands looked like blocks tonight. At least four turnovers in the first half.

We're too small ... too slow ... too weak to block out and keep the opposition off the boards. The offensive rebounds we give up is outrageous. Collins and Austin must be pathetically bad to be kept on the bench under these circumstances. We need to shoot 55 - 60% from the field to win with this kind of inside game.

MSU shot about 30% on their first shots and about 99.4% on all of their shots after getting offensive rebounds...
                Here's an idea...BLOCK OUT...PUT A BODY ON SOMEONE...just once...that would be progress.
And all of this domination on the boards was done by a couple of 6'5" guys for the most part...that's embarrassing.
What did Dale Lamberth end up with....27 offensive boards?

IMO Sam M had a GREAT GAME! He had 7 asst and only 2 t/o's......hit big shots! It looked like MS could do anything they wanted on O' with moving screens and over the back rebounds with no calls! But I give them credit....they hit almost all of the FT's! We also need to finish baskets....get some makes after the fouls......come-on....none of our shots went in after fouls and most were bunnies? At least this game gives me some hope after the UNI game......the team showed some heart and yes they made many mistakes but on the road in a place they never have won without the best player in the league IMO (DR)..not too bad....before the game I told a friend the Braves would lose by 20 pts......24 hour rule is in effect at my house and on to the WS......it's time to get a W for a good effort!

This regime has never taught rebounding well. Aside from having an NBA center who transferred and an NBA lottery pick, we've been absolutely terrible at rebounding the basketball. That, coupled with the crappy defense, is getting very old. It's frustrating because we all know that we're good enough to be winning these ballgames.

Well losers of 5 of the last 6 games, I think we all know this team sucks but at least SM is progressing very nicely. I see a bright future for him in the next few years. Offense is the norm again, defense/rebounding appears to be our overall problem this season. Least Pitchers/Catchers report in 6 weeks lol. Jim needs to go with a youth movement to get ready for next season.

The team doesn't suck. That's what's frustrating. When you suck, you don't get mad about games like tonight.

A disappointing loss after a great start but it was not all negative. I have not always been too positive about Sam M. I think I'm just about sold now. A really strong game-assists, points, lots of minutes. A really good effort-for a freshman a remarkable game.

Sam Singh looked good. I'm still a bit confused about his lack of minutes against UNI. He gave us rebounds, several blocks, some points. Yeah some TO's and they scored too many points down low but I would like to continue to see more minutes.

Andrew had a bunch more points. A lot better. Yeah he needs to go stronger to the hole and some more rebounds but a lot better.

Overall the rebounding really needs work, but the energy was much better than against UNI.

I'd like RA to get some more minutes.

What a year ; first the Chicago Bears season was over 25% into the season and now the Braves are not worth watching. Both teams enter their seasons with high hopes and both have come crashing down. Perhaps JL will find some players who can help next year with the remainer of the schedule as Lovie did the last few games but this Bradley team as it is now gives me no reason to be hopeful for the rest of the season.

Well about 3 months before I can go golfing, guess I can hope for an early spring.
