  • More "Mid-Major" bashing from Rivals

Here is the link. It even references Danny Granger.

Hope they have to eat crow next year.

The opinions on this are all over the board. Some think the NBA 19 year old minimum will hurt the Midmajors, some think it's a temporary phenomenon, some think the NCAA wil figure out ways to shift the advantages back to the big boys.

I think the names may change, but there will always be a few midmajors each year that will break into the BCS boys' party.

This article was mentioned a couple days ago, but only because of the error in the reference to Danny Granger.
They mention him only as an example of a player who "MOVED UP" from a mid-major to a major in order to play at a higher level.
but as we all know, that's not why he went to New Mexico, a move that can hardly be unanimously described as "UP" and in the succeeding years it was BU that went considerably further in the postseason.

Here is another interesting article about midmajors and the disparity they have to overcome to compete against the big schools.

The mid-majors have had a remarkable year despite extreme monetary disadvantages. Now they need to do it again and again, writes Kyle Whelliston.
