Man if Roth would only be a role player at BU then that is really saying something. They score 9 points in the first half of a game... who cares if the kid plays "d" which he does well, you need scorers!
Roth would have started, played 40 minutes a game, and averaged 70 points a game next year if he picked BU.
There, do you feel better?
Is your little orange Panther heart all filled with feelings of sweet, sweet vindication now?

Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
I disagree with you saying he's more athletic than JC. Maybe he can jump a little higher, but JC has deceptive quickness with the ball that allows him to get to the basket against DI competition. I don't see Roth ever being able to do that, both from a ball-handling and athletic perspective.
Being able to jump higher and I really think he has a quicker release then JC. I would agree fully about JC having deceptive quickness and I rteally beleive that many on this board do not realize all that JC does for a team. I have been one of his biggest fans since he was HS and I still love to watch him play. I will miss his leadership on the floor. When you have both DR and JC on the floor it is like having 2 extra coaches on the floor. Both are very fundamentally sound players w/ great training and, contrary to some on this board, are both great leaders.
I really see MR getting lots of splinters at iu but I do wish him the best.

To me, 'deceptive quickness' is just a way to say that someone has no quickness, but will occasionally get by someone if the defender totally loses focus and blows his assignment.
It is true that JC does have the ability to get the ball inside with his slo-mo penetration move, but how many times does he finish? It just seems to me that he gets that shot blocked about 80% of the time that he tries to drive to the hole.
I'm not trying to bash JC here because he is a definite weapon when he gets hot from 3, but him trying to take the ball to the hole is not something that BU should be drawing up very often...
I think he'd be mopre effective on those drives if he would just stop and pull up from about 8 ft....rather than trying to take the ball all the way to the rim...He's just not quick and athletic enough to finish too many times in that area...
