The 3 guard offense is Bradley's identity and I doubt it will change anytime soon. JL will keep recruiting top caliber guards and athletic big men to fit this style. While having a solid non-conference record is a plus, winning the MVC and/or the MVC Tourney trump that big time. This style is meant to dominate the Valley, which is full of the traditional 2 out/3 in style teams. Teams with slow big men who BU plans to wear down and beat down the floor. Granted there are times where this strategy doesn't always work, but more often than not it is a much different look for these teams and they aren't fully prepared to play against it.

OK, I understand the strategy (don't agree) but understand your points. However, I singled out part of your quote above for a reason. Can some historian out there tell us in Coach Les' tenure what positions we finished year-by-year? Since you state that this style is meant to "dominate the Valley", I would expect 1st or 2nd place finishes year after year with some Valley tourney championships. (I am not down on Les just in case anyone was wondering, but I do question playing small teams in a big-man sport).

I guess it didn't "click" in the 06 season til late (beating SIU at home by 12, winning at (then ranked) UNI by 22, and knocking off Conf Champ and 1 seed Wich St in the COnf Tourney... before going to the Sweet 16 with wins over Kansas and Pitt.
As for the 07 season, we had a good year with some good wins... but I think we were 1 more decent big man away from being where Coach Les (and us all) wanted us to be. (how many times were we without Zach and all we had left was Matty - heck, we beat Providence with 5 guards on the floor... DA defending their Center)
