    Let's try to think positive....

    1) Warren is a good shooter and can score well
    2) Theron is a beast
    3) Collins is shooting .718 from the field (before tonight, but I dont think he shot the ball)
    4) Cole-Scott scored 30+ points earlier, so we know he can score eventually
    5) Ruffin is are best player
    6) We can beat team such as Iowa, Iowa State, MDES, Florida Gulf Coast, Loyola, any many valley teams
    7) Were still 7-5, over .500

    I have to add a number 8

    Michigan State beat Texas today

I tried, I'm still pretty angry about tonights game.

I have to say I really want to yell and complain but I dont want to be a downer.

I will say that I like Warren, and I think he will shape up nicely.

Note the distinct absence of other players.

LHL - I Love T C-S's speed... but man he carries the heck outta the ball.

Also... the "real" LHL that got a hair-cut won the free pizza contest during one of the time-outs... I chuckled cause I was thinking of you. Haha.

              Game story from BUBraves.com

PEORIA, Ill ? After experiencing one of his worst games of the year in Bradley's BracketBuster victory last season in Richmond, VCU junior guard Eric Maynor turned in a dominating performance in the return game Saturday night at Carver Arena, finishing with a career-best 30 points and seven assists while leading the Rams (8-3) to a 79-64 road win against Bradley (7-5) in front of 11,117 at Carver Arena.? Playing without its all-star point guard Daniel Ruffin the entire second half due to an aggravation to the abdominal strain that has hampered him the last two weeks, Bradley lost its second straight non-conference home game for the first time since the 2002-03 season.? The 15-point margin of defeat was Bradley's worst in a home game since 74-65 setback to Missouri Valley Conference rival Creighton Jan. 26, 2005 and the worst in a non-conference game at Carver Arena since a 68-49 loss to Detroit in the first round of the 2001 NIT.

He has all the tools and can create his own shot. I just wish he had the go of SM and TW. Even when he is playing a good game he disapears for part of the game. He is just going to have to want it more. I'm sure by next year he will be the go to guy and relish it. Right now he probably is to nice of guy and is deferring to the Srs.

I've got to give Salley credit tonight. He hustled and I liked it when he took the ball to the rim and got fouled. He would be better served as a 4 then a 5 as well as TW as a 2-3 instead of a 4.

My line up for next game would be:

                DR, AW, TW, MS, DC

JC coming off the bench for instant offense after we softened the inside up.

I am grouchy, I am grieving. Why do I feel so sad and down trodin? VCU is a good team. They came here disciplined and ready to contend.

                  I Love our Braves.

Are the Bradley Braves getting worse instead of better?

I left at the five minute mark with a grinchy heart and felt even grinchier hearing the finale on the AM

I'm not sure we win even if Ruffin plays. Maynor probably doesn't go for 30 and 7, but they were bigger, stronger, and faster.

Here's to a full recovery for Ruff, whenever it may be, and a happy holiday season to everyone.

Guess what. DR graduates this year along with JC. While this changes the starting landscape, it does not dictate the future. Our newbies, transfer and frosh, need to step it up. Somethings gone soft on the inside because our newbies weren't this way two years ago.

And so did 1/2 of Carver.

Then mass exit with about 1:20 to go when VCU called a time out to get some subs in.

1 thing definitley missing tonight was the Student Body.

There may have been talk before about trying to get the students more involved... but I think it has kinda flip-flopped a little. Yea - packed house and lots of cheers in the first 1/2... but after that? I don't think the Student Body woulda been as quiet as the crowd tonight.

Just got back from the game. Very nice to meet a couple of the posters on this board tonight.
A few comments to add to this thread.

                          1. GIVE RASHAD AUSTIN PLAYING TIME.
                          2. Warren is starting to become a complete player. Keep it going AW.
                          3. Help defense needs to be a primary point of emphasis by the staff.
                          4. Agree with people on here who say that Collins needs more minutes. I would start DC instead of Salley but I think that Salley had a decent game tonight.
                          5. IMO this team needs a spark to get things going in the right direction.
A line up change is in order as well as a change in the allocation of minutes for players.
                          6. I think that tonight demonstrates that our primary recruiting emphasis should be a 6'6 or taller wing forward who is a scorer.

and finally to go along with point 5....

                          6. GIVE RASHAD AUSTIN PLAYING TIME.
I think that RA has the type of skills that is very needed in our lineup.

                            You people crack me up....

BU played poorly- simple as that..

Collins more PT- he was bad in 6 minutes tonight he had 2 fouls and a TO first time he touched the ball....

I agree that I would like to see Collins get some more time and myab eeven Rashad Austin- but this team got beat tonight by a few things:

                            1.) A better team
2.) By giving up when Ruff went out

AW plays well, but inconsistently... People rail on Matt Salley and I will agree he is bad offensively- but he is a gamer....

Everybody needs to be more consistent.. I give Ruff a pass right now with his ab injury- but even he does teh over penetration and jumps in the air with nowhere to go....

I cannot remember a BU Game so poorly played....And yet I am not calling for wholesale changes and "more bigs"

                            Wilson is wild at times
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

I actually had the same thought after the game tonight SFPete. If DR cant go I would start SamM in his place.

Jim needs to stop calling out the fans when his team fails to deliver.

We got beat by a better team tonight, plain and simple. A healthy Ruff and this game comes down to last couple of minutes. Do we win? Who knows. No Ruffin, and we saw the result.

Are there some people seriously getting on Sam Maniscalco? Honestly, what were you watching? More importantly, what in the heck did you expect this kid to be? My god, he is an 18 year old freshman point guard playing against one of the best guards in the country. He didn't turn it over once. He has the best assist to turnover ration on the team. He had a hard time defensively, but right now it looks like the whole roster is defensively challenged (which is probably the most disturbing trend). We didn't lose because of Sam Maniscalco. Get off his back.

It's simple for this year's Braves. If you play defense, you win. If you don't, you lose. Injuries or not, our defense was terrible...again. Our positioning was awful, our effort on that end was awful. There's no excuse for that. For the first time this year, I am concerned, because defense is all effort and positioning. We aren't doing either one well right now.

I am concerned about our turnovers too...uggh...it's gonna be a long week sitting on this one...
