Larry Johnson, known as Grandmama because of the Converse ads he did, lead UNLV to the 1990 NCAA Championship, and was a 2-time first team All American, NBA Rookie of the Year, and NBA All Star.
He went back to UNLV "to finish his degree and also fulfilled a promise to his mother. His studies allow him to be a strong role model for his seven children and serve his goal of becoming a teacher, basketball coach and mentor at his former middle school in Dallas, Texas."
