I meant that he implied -- more like flat-out stated -- this team wasn't as good as the '06 team. Whether he meant 05-06 or 06-07, I'm not sure. But if he is referring to the Sweet 16 year, that team wasn't exactly great before its big late-season run.

I liked the fight I saw in Salley tonight and wish the rest of our big men would get some of that in them, if Matt was a better finisher he would of had 20 points tonight.

At this point in his career, I expect more than just "fight" from Salley. A Senior should be skilled or be able to use/show those skills. Say what you will about Zach Andrews and his "skillset" but at least he found a way to put the ball in the basket.

Salley is as weak with the basketball as any post player we've ever had in this regime. I can't recall a player taking the ball up as weak as he does. It's truly maddening.

The sweet 16 team wasnt great to start but that team had 2 possible NBA players on it and one who was 7'0 tall. That team came together in time to make a great run and in reality under achieved before making the tournament. This team doesnt have that type of talent, I dont think that is going out on a limb. However, I personally will be very disappointed if this team doenst do better than last years team. My goals remain the same, finish 1 or 2 in the Valley and have a chance to win on Sunday in St. Louis.

I pretty much agre with the flow of this thread my only question is WHERE was DC? Why did JL leave him on the pine? Did he do or say something? I thought for sure we would put him in so we could at least open the perimeter a bit on O. One more thing as well TSC played well but he did mess up on D a few times to give Butler some easy baskets. You cannot do that against good teams like Butler. Hopefully JL will show him the tapes and he'll understand. SM was out of his league last night.

I still say if we can get DC to play to his potential and TSC and SM to play consistant never mind AW we will be a team that few schools will want to play come March.
