  • New name for 2009- Marshall Henderson

It's been quiet on the recruiting news front lately. But here is a new name that Bradley is recruiting, Marshall Henderson. He is a 6'2" combo guard from Hurst, Texas, Bell High School. See the link to the Recruting Board below for more information.

In a new interview with Scout.com, he said that Bradley is his leader, despite having offers from a bunch of impressive schools.
Scout reports Henderson has offers from--
Bradley, Notre Dame, Stanford, Utah, and Colorado, as well as interest from several other BCS schools.

And Rivals.com reports he has offers from--
Arizona State, Colorado, Marquette, Notre Dame, Stanford, Utah, Crieghton, and Gonzaga, along with interest from other schools like Baylor, Kentucky, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, SMU, Steven F. Austin, and Tulsa.

Sounds like a job for the Texas closer.
      Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

From the ESPN Insider writeup on Henderson...

*Skilled guard who can play the point and off-guard*
        *Excellent shooter*
*Can get beat on defense by guys quicker than him*
        *High basketball IQ*

Honestly, that sounds a lot like Jeremy Crouch to me, other than the apparently better aptitude for running the point. Probably a mix of Maniscalco and JC...

            ummmmm....who can't.

I heard he can even get outscored by players who score more than he does
Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope.

              Don't kill the messenger.

The exact sentence: "He can handle the ball well enough to play the point, but he struggles keeping up with quicker point guards in front of him on the defensive end of the floor."

He's also not as tall as some other players.
