I remember being very frustrated by that loss in Terre Haute. We had just come off an impressive win against SIU where we owned the Salukis, except for Falker, in every aspect of the game. We collapsed down the stretch against Indiana State, and I was wondering "what in the world's going on with these guys". It seemed like they couldn't stand success or play with a great deal of consistency. Something happened after that game though. The players seemed to improve, as did the coaching of Jim and his staff. They seemed to make all the right substitutions at the right time, and the players responded. They were able to play with a lead late in close games or rally down the stretch from a deficit. Too bad Memphis didn't shoot against us like they did against UCLA--we might have been able to steal that one! Funny, but Greg McDermott gets a higher profile job despite going 0-3 in the NCAA's. Jim Less and Mark Turgeon go 2-1 in their first ventures out and stay put at their schools!

This is great news, and I hope it is true as this is the first I've heard of it. Glad Coach Les is finally locked in for a while.
