  • Arch Madness Tickets. Confused.

The last 11 years, my brothers, Dad and I have ordered our Valley Tournament tickets through the Bradley ticket office before the first of the year and received 15 dollars off with the early bird special for all session tickets. So...this year I called the BU ticket office and the guy (who sounded like he was new anyway) told me that I wouldn't be able to buy tickets until February. He said there WAS an early bird special again this year, but that I couldn't be a part of it.

So...what are my options now? Last year we waited so long that we had to sit in the upper deck even though we paid the more expensive price. That was miserable. I'm already sick of BU fans being stuck on the corner every year. And with ticket prices going up every year, it's getting a little frustrating.

    Any recommendations?

I am not sure about you inability to buy the tickets. Some have said that only season ticket holders can buy them prior to Jan 1. I hope so because I intend on getting mine bought next week.

As it relates to your complaint about our "corner" seating. I think that if you watch, most of the all session tickets are in the corners with a few sections of each school's seats sliding toward the center of the court. I am not sure why it is this way. I know in the old days alot of the "corporate" seats were at mid court. There is a lot of corporate sponsorship that helps make our tournament what it is. I know for a fact that it was very instrumental , esp. in the early lean years.

LSS, most of the fans from the other schools have to deal with the corner seating as well.

Find a season ticket holder to be your middleman.

I'm not sure what's going on at the BU ticket office. I called and got my MVC tickets a few weeks ago and the person did not ask me if I was a season ticket holder or alum or anything else for that matter. (although I am a season ticket holder) I think I would email or call Rob Bogardus, rbogardus@bradley.edu and get the straight scoop. I don't see any reason for the ticket office to be holding back seats from prospective buyers.

I ordered my MVC tickets yesterday, as an alum.

One of the largest problems is all the corporate seats that are given to people that don"t even know anything about the teams or players and they get to sit in the middle sections of the arena; I think they should have to go upstairs in the corporate boxes as most of them do not care about the games anyway and are only there because the seats were given to them ; I know the sponsors give a huge amount of money but I still believe you do not have to give them the best seats in the arena as the fans of the schools deserve to have them more.
