The Southern/SLU game is interesting to me.

Rick Majerus certainly has not done anything, yet, to gain any special notice. They, meaning, St. Louis has no real signature wins, and has lost 3 of their last 4 games.

This could be a very very ugly offensive game for both teams. I would suspect that the total points will be 95-110

The Missouri State game at Utah will be tough. Utah doesn't lose many in the Huntsman Center. But MSU might be able to surprise the Utes.
SIU should win at St. Louis, and Wichita State should win at UMKC.
Evansville will beat Hanover (a Division III school that is 6-2).
And UNI should have no trouble beating Wartburg (another Division III team that is 2-4). That should make the MVC 5-0 Saturday! Go MVC!

Division III? Even if we mathematically win, we still lose

UNI is playing Wartburg??? Does Wartburg Theological Seminary even field a team?

Who will UNI play next ... Hufflepuff House from Hogwarts maybe?

            Surprising to me:
SIU only favored by 4 1/2 , probably because it will be a low scoring game. Mo. St. is a 5 1/2 point dog.

Utah is up 37-20 at half over Missouri State.
This is just the tip of the iceberg...

SLU looks terrible recently. SIU shouldn't have much trouble in this game. SLU gets terrible attendance so they don't have much of a home court advantage. I wouldn't be surprised if there are more SIU fans than SLU fans there. SLU hasn't been playing with much effort recently. You're right that this could be a signature win for SLU this year, but I don't have a lot of faith in them right now.

I have zero desire to watch this high school girls offensive basketball game either

OK... MVC ... Wichita lost, Mo St lost, SIU lost... UNI and E'Ville win...

But we picked up a couple of 'victories' today for BU.

                          Loyola beat N Illinois.
                          UIC WINS AT Depaul.

                          ...and...

Wright State defeats Miami (Oh) on a last second shot!

SIU shoots 39%, Saint Louis shoots 51%
SIU get ZERO points from its bench! ZERO!

Awful, awful, awful losses in the Valley tonight, particularly by SIU and WSU. These teams did NO ONE any favors in our conference. I still believe finishing in the top 8 amongst conferences gives the Valley two bids to the NCAA tournament. But it would help if two teams dominate the rest of the conference.

Bradley and Creighton or Drake each winning 15 conference games should give the Valley their two bids!
