    Final

    SIU loses 75-66

Coley looked pretty good. Had a monster block that went 5-7 rows into the stands and played good defense on Falker when he found himself matched with him.

Falker fouled out with zero points.

SIU has been exposed! Pack in the zone on Falker and let them shoot from outside and a good team will beat them more often than not.

Yahoo had the score you reported, but ESPN and CBS had the score 71-56.

That's a good plan B4L, but I can only guess SIU would find their groove against us.... they will have the game of their lives.

I've been telling people down here for MONTHS that SIU wouldn't win the Valley title again this year and I now have some followers! Sure, they still have an above average defense, but they can't score to save their lives. This team misses Jamal Tatum and Tony Young more than they ever imagined they would. With that being said, this SIU team has been highly over-rated from the get go.

You just cannot replace 2 guards that were in their system what seemed like forever and think that Siu would be a better team; heck they had trouble scoring with those 2 players last season so it appears they are having the same problems again; zone defenses work against them as it keeps Falker from scoring a lot of points which in turn forces them to shoot from the perimeter which they are not very good at and the percentages should show us that by their stats on 3 point shooting.

Why do I have a funny feeling Bradley is gonna play M2M against them?

I think they can be manned as well as zoned. I think if you double Falker immediately, it will force him to pass the ball to other players who quite frankly don't know what to do with it. I'll take my chances with doubling Falker and seeing Shaw, Mullins, and Bone chuck it from the cheap seats.

Force them to shoot from the wings as it is the toughest shot to make and last year we played a lot of zone on them at home and it worked out fairly well as they really struggled to get easy shots.
