Bradley and the MVC

Anyone know when Bradley joined the MVC? I could't find anything on MVC or BU websites (or wikipedia)...

This is a great site to bookmark, as it has the dates of all members of the Missouri Valley Conference since it began.

Bradley (1948-49 -- 1950-51; 1955-56 --present) joined in 1948 and has been a continuous member except for the 4 years 1951-1955 when they withdrew in sympathy with Drake over the conference's handling of the Johnny Bright incident.

I was not aware of Bradley's withdrawal from the MVC as a response to the Johhny Bright incident. I'm impressed that the administration had to vision and courage to take such a strong protest stance.
