  • Respect for the braves?

"Michigan State pulled off its most impressive win of the season Tuesday night when it won at Bradley 66-61. Unlike Bradley, the Cougars have the personnel to strike at the heart of the Spartans' greatest weakness ? namely, inside play. "

this was in Seth Davi's Five for Friday column on si.com today...

    BYU Cougars

    Well BIBRAVE ALUM,
I am going to tune into KSL radio the flagship station
of BYU-Provo sports. BYU is in the Mountain West and is
ranked #21 in the polls. Provo is 300 miles so I may not
be planning on scooting down there especially if it snows
eight inches tonight. Still, friends at the end of the day
we will know a bit if Bradley is an odd sort of tossed salad.
Or whether MSU can handle BYU which because of its
religious policies has 23 year old seniors.. Great matchup.
I am willing to bet a shiny new nickel that Drew Nietzal
will not shoot 4-16 . More later but Google KSL radio to
hear what two top 25 teams can do.

A rematch at the end of the season and I bet we can take them inside. Maybe in the big dance.

Wow - stepping out there Wingrider81 - I like it.

That's good stuff... someone ought to be served crow after that game.

I am not taking a stand on this one, but....

....in case anyone ever wants to serve some crow up to me... I like mine grilled with some black peppercorn seasoning.

You're not ... that was one of the most confusing posts I've seen on here in a long time ...

From what I discerned though, he's ripping both ...
            Go Braves!

                Nah

                No,
Actually not ripping at all. I see # 21 BYU as a barometer for how are Braves
are playing. Are we just below a top 25 team? Or waffling near a #65 team. I
thought BYU would match up better than BU but the end results were about the
same (a 5 point and a 7 point loss). (Perhaps BYU's win over Louisville was over-
rated after their loss to U of Dayton today.) I peg my Braves as a mid to high
30s squad that matches up well to many teams and is getting better. MSU does
some things like fall behind early and finding O-rebounds that make it hard to
gauge where we would be playing a more conventional five. I came away today
feeling much better about the MSU game.
I plead guilty to occasional muddled writing. I seek clemency in the fact that
a.) a few of my neighbors are talking about a BYU final 4, b.) I have listened to
too many Danny Ainge interviews, and c.) a plethora of adult Christmas beverages.
I rest my case or 12-pack. Hiccup hiccup ...
