Everyone knows Doug Elgin has done a great job as Comissioner of the MVC, and he's been a big part of the rise of the MVC.

Now the Atlantic 10 conference needs a new comissioner, as their's has resigned.
There is some sentiment to hire Doug Elgin away from the MVC.

Going to the A-10 is a step down.
By the way....where are the people who were saying Rick Majerus would turn St. Louis into a team with a national impact instantly?
Saint Louis just got humiliated 61-39 by BC and 81-40 to Kent State, to go to 6-4.
They are averaging only 60ppg,

The A10 has structural issues that I think are difficult to address. Not sure I would leave the MVC to step into that mess. That said, I think there are improvements necessary for the MVC and I think for Mr. Elgin, to stay excited about being the MVC commissioner, needs to be able to continue to make improvements in our conference.

The A10 is currently 6th in ConfRPI right behind the MVC at 5th.

St Louis is currently 95th and BU is 107.
