That's how I feel, Georgethedog.
As discussed in another thread, I think we should start Ruffin, Crouch, Wilson, Salley, Collins.

I can't resist putting myslef up for public scorn and ridicule ... so here goes.
Position - Starter (minutes per game) - Sub (minutes per game)
5 - David Collins (28 ), Sam Singh (12)
4 - Matt Salley (26), Rashad Austin (10), Sam Singh (4)
3 - Theron Wilson (24), Andrew Warren (12), Will Egolf (4)
2 - Jeremy Crouch (32), Andrew Warren (4), Tyron Cole-Scott (4)
1 - Daniel Ruffin (32), Sam Maniscalco (8 )
I like our freshmen, but they are freshmen.

That's kind of how I see it too... Though the Austin mystery means I can't see him playing 10 minutes a game.
I'd also give the 4 minutes you gave singh at the 4 to Egolf and/or Wilson.

Also the Rashad Austin thing is a mystery and I agree that seeing him playing 10 minutes doesn't look like it'll happen any time soon. He'll probably get 5 or so in the next few games, but 10 would be stretching it the way Les has been keeping him on the bench (For whatever reason)Gloria: Who's side are you on?
Jay: She's my daughter, you're my wife. Let's remember what's important, there's a football game on today

I wish it could work out that way (DB's lineup)
You're trying to have another Ruffin, Bennet, Boogie, Summerville, POB lineup. The more I think about that lineup, the more I realize how insane it was. You couldn't leave anyone on that lineup alone. It had 4 outside threats and 3 inside threats.
DB's lineup leaves us with 1-2 inside threats (Combining DC, Salley and Wilson) and 2.5 outside threats (combining Ruffin, Crouch and Wilson) It just wouldn't be the same. BU had an insane amount of talent and playing ability the S16 year. This year's team is not quite there.
I left last night thinking if we replaced TCS, Wilson, or Austin with first BU year Bennet/Frankin, Boogie or Zach, we win last night. We have great potential, but the players are not quite there yet.

I still don't know why everyone thinks that Austin should get minutes. I think it must be because of all the recruiting hype for him. Obviously Jim Les sees a lot of stuff in practice and their must be a reason he's on the bench, and I trust his judgement. I think this is a case of the back-up qb being the most popular guy on the team when the starter is struggling, but we all know Brian Griese wasn't any better than Rex Grossman.
We have more bodies down low this year, but we don't have a back to the basket scorer on the team at this point. We really need a 3rd scorer to step up behind Ruffin and Crouch. I really don't care who it is, but Wilson, Warren, or Cole-Scott needs to be that guy though. I don't expect a freshman to do it.

well put ph
I hate to be that guy,
but sam maniscalco needs to start
He's got some great potential and subbing him and warren out for each other would be one HECK of a 1-2 punch.
I think AW is getting tired and not finding his shot throughout the game. Last year coming from the bench he was a greaaaaaat weapon. If he can find that again, we'll be in business.
ALSO
If SM doesn't start I like the idea of DC and MS both starting. It gives us more weapons to take the game early. The problem is closing the deal as we saw both last night and against Venderbilt. by giving AW a breather, and giving the guards a lead to work with at the start of the game, we would be more likely to close the deal.Gloria: Who's side are you on?

I wish Wilson would shoot more as he is 6-14, a .478 percentage from beyond the arc. To me, both AW and WE shoot the 3's with too much arc. Also Will rocks back on his shot. Larry Bird is the only player I've ever seen have any success with that kind of motion. Well, I guess Larry Legend can negate my theory all by himself.

TW has had some nice success with the three, but some of the times he's missed he's looked B A D. Not sure what that means... but sometimes he doens't look like he wants to take that shot.

Starting Sam M. is basketball retarded, period. He is a decent player for a freshman, but that is about it. He played at the end of last nights game and what was his impact? Very little if any...
