  • Video Replay of BU's Winning Goal vs. Maryland

Although it was pretty low quality video from what looked like a small hand held video camera,
Lee Hall had the replays of the game tying goal in regulation and Cutshaw's game winning goal in OT
on his 10PM sports broadcast last night. I had not seen the video anywhere else.

Kurt Pegler also has it AND this is a little better quality.

Thanks T. That was SO cool. I did not realize we had every player in the offensive end with the goalie at mid-field. Wow! What a b@llsey move!

Really what choice did they have.....surprised the goalie wasn't attacking also.

I also like the game winning goal....UM coaches and players are all screaming for a handball while BU players are flying by them in celebration. I don't knoiw if it WAS or WASN'T a handball but it sure looked like the umpire was out of position. I only saw the one at midfield....I suspect there was another closer that I just missed.

Go BU....beat MSU and OSU and this will have been quite a week for BU athletics.

      IU...DOWN.....MARYLAND....DOWN........next......

Pulling the goalie in Soccer is a lot like pulling the goalie in Hockey near the end of games. It's probably a little less risky in Soccer. I know when Creighton scored the game tying goal in the MVC tourney final last year, their goalie was right in the middle of the box on the last free kick.

Also, as far as ref's go in soccer, there are only 3 ref's. There's the ref who runs in the middle of the field, and then a ref at each end that run opposite sidelines to look for off sides and what not. My guess is that you can't see the ref on the line cause he is off screen on the near side looking for offsides at the far end.
