  • Michigan State Pre Game

Let's hear it. We have been waiting for this game for two years. I know you all have pre game plans with the 8 pm start. How do you plan to get things rolling for this big game?

We are going to begin at Hoops around 5:30. I have friends from out of town coming with us and this is usually where they like to start when they come to see BU. I think we will hit the party in the Civic Center around 6:30 for some free brew. Hopefully this will allow us to see or hear Elgin and JL if they intend on speaking.

Then over to the arena around 7:30-45. We need to be sure we are settled in and ready to rock for this one!

That is what I am referring to with the mention of "free brew."

Exactly! I'm not a Braves Club member though

I'll just have to convince my $$$ friends to grab a few extras for my wife and I.

My pre game plan is to spend the nite in the MSU hotel making as much noise as I can all nite. Then I'm sending up room service to em around 3 am....my hope is they used the Big Al gift certificates I sent them all about a month ago.

Oh and I really hope they like the brownies I left for them in the lobby......

          Go BU.

Usually at these events, non Braves Club members can pay $10 to get in and enjoy the festivities. I would be shocked if this wasn't the case tomorrow. Hearing the band and seeing the cheerleaders is always one of my favorite parts of these parties.

I'm planning on getting to the Civic Center at 4 pm, I get off work at 3:30pm, and see if I can't hit up that tailgate. They will let good students have some free beer right????

Anyway, I have friends that should be starting the line to get in the arena at about 3 p.m., so I will be joining them to wait out the start of the game and then get to my usuall spot in the front row of the student section.

Thanks for the heads up! I've been hearing about this pre-party on the radio (1470 AM) and then I just read about it online through the BU Braves link above. It pretty much just states that Braves Club members will receive a wrist band.

I didn't think of them starting that early for the sake of the students who have to wait in line. That's a great idea! If I got in the door at 4 for a game at 8, I would likely not "see" the game.

I think that all Chiefs Club members should seek out any students who make the effort to come to the tailgate and "buy" them a beer. That is if they are "of age."

I think it's fantastic that the pre-game party starts at 4 PM, and I plan on taking full advantage of it.

When is the Michigan State game? Does Bill Frieder still coach them?
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

I plan to get to the tailgate party around 6:30... Maybe there can be a spot reserved for bradleyfans?
Hopefully superfan Jay has some free ones to warm up his vocal chords!

Sorry, but I'm a little confused. Can anyone get into the pre-game party? What about students? Do you have to pay if you're not a Braves Club member?

We often see Jay at Hoops pregame getting "lubed up" and ready to go. We then of course get to enjoy the smooth baritone sounds of the Superfan from section 10.

I would also like to have a designated "Bradleyfans" area at the tailgate. I am new to the board and would like to meet some of you in person.

I would very much like to know if this party is free and open to public as it was for the Providence game last year. Seems clear that the beer is only free for Braves Club, but what about the party itself?

Can someone step up to the plate on this?
