If you want to see PO"B in a BU uniform you better had taped some games and saved them. He said O'B is talking to agents, to get an idea which way he should go. He has not signed with one but its not looking good for us. O'B is a very smart young man and I'm sure he will make the right choice for him. I honestly believe he would be worth alot more money if he stayed at least one more year and a top 5 if he waited 2 more. Of course a lot depends on who is or may be coming out next year or the following year. This where he needs to get good advice from the people in the know.

Here's a funny one.
The Houston Rockets, despite having a perennial all-star and
top scorer in T-Mac and one of the most dominant centers in
the league in Yao Ming, are deeply stuck in last place in the
Southwest Division of the Western Conference.
Their fans are growning a little impatient and want the team to
make some moves. Their present performance is most notable
when you look at their record within their division...1-13!!
And their 15-23 home record is simply hard to explain when
they've spent so much money getting these top players.
One of the local Houston articles lists the players Houston
should go after with their lottery pick, and
one of them is Patrick O'Bryant!!
Could this mean they'd think of trading Yao to get some good
young talent to go with Patrick?

Well, well now guess what happened.
Yao Ming broke his foot last night and he's done for the year.
Could there be concerns that Houston needs a backup, and they'll go hard after Patrick?
Yao will finish the season missing 25 games this year and had Houston made the playoffs, he'd have missed those, too.
His durability and minutes played have gone down each of his last 3 years.

nbadraft.net has an extended version of their 2006 Mock Draft, and they list POB as the #10 pick this year with this discussion:
"Patrick O'Bryant
With a young nucleus including Howard and Nelson, the Magic are in position to take a pick with the future in mind. O'Bryant gives them a young center to pair with Howard. O'Bryant has yet to declare for the draft, but it is considered a near certainty. How high he gets drafted will depend on how well he works out. The Lakers took high schooler Andrew Bynum at 10 last year, and though O'Bryant lacks his bulk, he's got similar upside."

Check out Gregg Doyel's mail column. He wrote an article a couple days ago suggesting POB wasn't ready for the NBA. There is a letter near the bottom regarding this--
