i agree. we need another shooter, preferably 6'4" or taller and we need a good sized PF to go along with Thompson down low. don't forget he's technically in that class.

Speaking of Wes Witherspoon-- I keep hearing that Bradley is still in on him, but there is a new premium article on Scout.com that discusses him, and it lists his current choices. It does not include Bradley now, though I have learned not to trust these articles, as they have been wrong before.

          Here is what it says--
Wesley Witherspoon divulged a new list. He mentioned Virginia, Memphis, Clemson, Colorado, Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas and George Washington. Witherspoon claimed everyone on his list has offered.

Dave Leitao, of Virginia, and Tracy Webster, of Kentucky, watched him Saturday night. Prior to his game against June Buchanan he visited Kentucky for their game against North Carolina. Witherspoon isn't in a rush to make a college decision.

Agreed. We need bigger guards, and I think that slowly but surely we're getting them. Guys like Ruffin only come along once every so often. To compete with the big boys, we're going to need some more size at the guard position. I have never seen Eddren McCain play, but I am hoping that he's a legit 6'0" and has the length to defend like he's 6'2" or 6'3". I like Roberts size, especially if he can shoot and is as athletic as he's reported to be. I would certainly like to add another 6'3"-6'6" shooter who can defend the perimeter to this class.

I tend to fall into this camp. I think AW will be fine. But he is better off the dribble, at least this year. TCS is the one who needs to step up. If he gets comfortable and can improve his decision making some, I think he will more than provide the needed scoring punch to go along with Sam M. and AW.

I want insurance don't get me wrong, but if AW, Sam M. and TCS are were they need to be by next season I would be happy with them along with the newbies.

My concerns about TCS are not if he can make a shot, but his defense is suspect at this time, his ball handling is very suspect and he appears to shoot as soon as he gets the ball. I wish he would just run the offense and wait for an open shot to develop.

I agree. As quick as he is, he constantly get too close to his man and allows him to drive into the center of our defense (bodying him the entire way). If he can simply learn to contain the ball he will allow JL to leave him on the floor.

If TCS could finish a drive to the hoop, he'd be scoring twice as much as he has so far and would be shooting about 60% from the field. If he's going to get to the rim (as he has done several times), he needs to finish. Otherwise, I would rather him pull up for an under control 15 footer.

Thats so true and something I mentioned in my recap the other nite. I don't know if the answer is he just had some good looks role out or he just tried to make some circus shots he doesn't need to try. I mean the guy can get to the rim for sure but he has to wiggle and contort his body so much it seems to leave him in an awkward shooting position. I think I saw him get to the hoop one time and before he went up he made a nice pass to Collins I believe.

I think I 'd like to see him keep going strong to the hoop but look to pass and on occasion pull up for the 8 footer.

Either way he would be a huge weapon and could be a difference maker if his threes are falling against MSU. Its guys like that that can get overlooked on a scouting report that can really make a difference. Even if its just a couple HUGE threes.....
