  • Chad Ford from ESPN.com...

had this to say today in an ESPN Insider article about POB's draft status.

Several executives and one NBA scout say it is very likely O'Bryant will enter the draft. According to two scouts and one agent, O'Bryant has been interviewing agents and has had people exploring his training options should he declare.

Sounds like POB may be heading for the door.....

I'd rather he stayed, but if he gets the guaranteed money and years, then he should probably go to the draft.

I heard a rumor that Cellus' wife says Pat is probably going to the draft.

I think he will be a top 5 pick in 2007. He'll make more money in his NBA career by staying at BU one more year and being picked early in the draft in 2007.

ok, so lets say he goes and is the number 12 in the draft.
1.4 million. Take away taxes and he is getting 800k. Agent at 10% of the 1.4 puts him around 650-700k.

Certainly not chump change but you have to think Deal or no deal with the possibilty of top 5 pick in his jr. year.
