  • Assistant coach Buescher

If I may ask, I am a sort of a "junkie" when it comes to college sports. However I am not familiar with Bradley's 1st assistant Eric Buescher. What college did he play for and where did he college coach? Someone said he came from a D2 or jucco, but for some reason that did not sound right to me.

I do not believe Eric has ever worked at a junior college. He went to Washington HS, and graduated from Illinois State in 1994 with his degree in Physical Education, but he had already begun his coaching career as an assistant at Washington High School when he was a freshman in college (1990-91), and was an assistant at Peoria Central under his father after that.(1992-94). He didn't play college basketball at ISU.
After he graduated from ISU in 1994, he was an assistant for 1 season at Galesburg HS (1994-95). He then was a head coach at several high schools for the next 7 years-- at VIT, Dixon, and Springfield high schools. Then he was hired initially by Jim Les as Director of Basketball Operations in 2002.
